You shouldn't attend this school if you aren't interested in future success, an involved and accomodating staff, and a multitude of social and extracurricular activities. Realistically, any kind of student, no matter how racially diverse, sexually oriented or religiously affiliated, is welcome at this university. Our school is representative of such a variety of students that it would be very difficult to find any individual who doesn't fit in.

The only kind of person that shouldn't attend this school is the kind that don't like to work hard for what they earn.

If you are a narrow minded conservative who is not a dilligent student, not an environmentalist, and unwilling to be around a lot of free thinking liberals.

If you want attentive professors and a university system that cares about you and works for you, UCLA is not for you, but if you are extremely independent and you like to go out and make you're own way, then you can use UCLA to you're advantage.

Students that are self-motivated and hard working should attend UCLA. Those who aren't afraid to speak up and debate, and those that love to make friends and network.

Someone who wants to socialize and live the life of a city. The person should be prepared to either go out a lot or study a lot based upon their major/ field of study. The richer, attractive, the more better.

A person who is spirited and enjoys school spirit. Someone who feels they can handle large classes and who does not feel that they need to be monitered in order to do well in school. A person who can affiliate them with certain groups in order to get involved at the school and find their niche.

People who attend UCLA must be very proactive about their education. The classes are too difficult to just "coast by." The resources needed to succeed are available to every student, it's just up to the student to recognize when these resources are need.

Someone who is looking for an easy college experience. The academics are very challenging.

A person who needs a lot of personal attention and therefore wouldn't do well in such a hands off environment. A person who is not very disciplined - because the school is very handoff.

Very shy and quiet people may have a hard time adjusting to it's bustling activity.

A person who doesn't like to walk up hills should avoid this school, as well as those who perfer not to study.

Someone who is not serious about learning or up for the challenge this school provides, if all you want to do is party, you will flunk out.

People who like to keep to themselves should not attend this school. A alot of classes require interaction with others. People who don't work hard also should not attend this school because of the immense workload each student is expected to do.

One who is not academically motivated. Although grades and SAT scores may provide insight as to how a student might perform in college but it does not measure enthusiasm. There are students who do not take school as serious as I do and that bothers me.

Commuters. It is very hard to make friends and fit in if you commute, since most people live around the campus and make friends through the dorms or clubs that meet at night or on the weekends.

People who are not sure about going to college or are undecided about their major.
