There was really I diversity amongst my classes. I have GenEd classes that had about 300 students and a class at the entire of my time that had at most about 9 students. I always feels this is really subjective because it depends on how involved I want to be with the professor. But overall I remember them being very open and easy to talk with.

Some of my professors know me by name.
My favorite class is my composition class, not because of the class, but because of the professor.
My least favorite class is Calc 2, because it is at 8:00 in the morning and it is hard.
Students study a lot, but they could study more.
Class participation is common.
Students are competitive.
The most unique class I have taken was my current comp class because we have learned a lot about current events and the war in iraq.
I am in the college of engineering and computer science, as an electrical engineer. The staff is great and provide endless opportunities.
I don't spend time with professors out of class.
The UCF academic requirements seem fair.
UCF gears students toward getting a job and being successful.

All of this really depends on the class. Large general education courses seem to have more students that don't care about the subjects. But major classes are much better, smaller, and professors almost always make the effort to get to know students. The best classes I've taken have been Introduction to Women's Studies and Third Wave Feminism. These classes, especially the intro. class, introduced me to so many new concepts and made me a feminist. They are also why I joined NOW. I would highly recommend these classes to anyone. Another class that I am really enjoying is Survey of Rock and Roll. It's hard to get into but the professor is great, and everyone in the class is really interested in different kind of music.
The journalism major here is great, although very competitive. I was just accepted into it - it took me two tries. There are few faculty members, but it's very in depth, which is why it's so selective. So it's a great opportunity for anyone that really wants to make a career out of journalism. The professors are great and always willing to help students and share opportunity with them.
Otherwise it seems like UCF is too easy to get into, but it's getting better. They are beginning to accept only 30 - 40{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of applications. They aren't too selective, but I think it's great to give more students the opportunity of an education.
