Students who are not determined, proactive, or hard-working should not attend the university. Students who procrastinate on their responsibilities do not make school their highest priority. The university wants students who strive to "get ahead" and make every moment count towards a successful career and future. Therefore, students who do not complete homework, do not go to class, or do not give full attention to instructors during class should not attend the university in hopes of receiving a full, well-rounded education.

The University of Florida is for everyone. I come from a very close-knit Hispanic family, and even though my first semester was tough being far away, I stil pulled through. I feel like that is the only problem that students would come across. If they can make it past that initial homesick feeling, they can definitely make it through for all 4 years. Whether you're shy, outgoing, religious, atheist, gay, straight, and everything in between, there is definitely something on this campus that will help you feel at home.

The only kind of person who shouldn't attend this school is one that is not committed to working hard or very ambitious. In order to succeed in this school one needs to push himself to his limit and beyond. He needs to seek out help and guidance, not try and let help and guidance seek him; the latter will not get him very far in his career as a University of Florida student. Without being ambitious and hard working a student will miss all of the potential opportunities the cross his path.

The kind of person that shouldn't attend this school is a person whose's not self-motivated. A person who is not sociable and unwilling to get involved in the school should not attend. If a person is not determined to achieve goals or set goals overall they should not attend this school.

If a person can't stand seeing orange and blue everyday, then that person most definitely can't handle being a gator. In a town such as this, pride is in full effect everywhere. A school known mostly for its academics has now also become famous for its athletics. If there is such a person that finds themself where they can't at least like the little things of UF, then they certainly don't belong here, but should continue looking until they find their fit.

A student who is not a self motivator. Its a very large school and its easy to get lost in the crowd. If you aren't able to keep yourself focused, you may become distracted by the size, and find yourself lost in the shuffle. Also students who would be uncomfortable in a very sports-oriented institution, as the school athletic teams play a very large role in campus culture.
Melissa
Students who perfer a small school, with small class sizes should not attend the University of Florida. If one prefers to have a closer relationship with his professors and peers, the University of Florida is not for them being that the campus is huge and many classes contain hundreds of students.

A person with no school spirit should not attend this school. One has to at least have spirit and motivation to accomplish their goals. With spirit comes a positive attitude and a positive attitude can open doors.
John
Someone who just thinks UF is a party school. People that think they can come here, watch some sports games, and just cruise through usually end up in trouble. The academic standards of the university have gotten to the point at which if someone is not serious about learning, they had best go somewhere else.
