University of Miami Top Questions

It's not nice to brag, but when you are part of such a great school and with such potential for a medical program, it's a bit hard not to. UM is also very good with student involvement and organizations, while other "colleges" around the area really lack the motivation.

I would advice prospective students to study at the University of Miami. It is in the a very good location with excellent climate. The school has many activities that you could join. It is a medium size school, the ratio students to teachers is about 18:1. It is a great way to meet people from around the world since UM is a very international school.

I like to brag on how University of Miami is a haven for diversity. People of different cultures and religions aggegrate to this campus for only one purpose; to receive an education. I have the opportunity to learn about different ideas, cultures, traditions and varied ways of viewing things. This helps me grow as an individual; I become more candid and less judgemental. This way, everyone of different origins become one and work together to make our society a better place. It may not seem like teamwork because everyone pursues their individual goals; but it's collaboration.

The football games and how helpful all of the professors are.

The campus is beautiful. We are in such a beautiful part of the country that is never cold and is always beautiful and sunny. Even when it is raining, such as now due to the tropical storm in the area, the rain is warm and misty, it is simply beautiful. The beach is not far away, and fun is never not to be had. Also, the people around you in the classes are genuinely interested in learning.

I'm a Cane! Who in Miami doesn;t wat to be a Miami Hurricane. It's the one Universiy everybody knows about and wants to be a part of. The school spirit, the football team, the baseball team, etc.

We're Miami. That's enough said. Everyone has a built up dream, and while it includes the beach, people don't understand that people here work hard and they play hard.

The weather here is fantastic- while a lot of my friends are deaaling with snowstorms and dark, dreary, cold weather, students at UM can enjoy warm, sunny weather. The general disposation around campus matches the weather. It is a generally relaxed and warm environment. There is a lot of school spirit and a lot of ways to get involved in school activities and community outreach. Miami is just a wonderfully warm place and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

A lot! I mean, the weather and being in Miami is a no brainer. But as far as the school itself...it is an extremely well-rounded and balanced institution...it's like an appetizer sampler....a little bit for everyone.
