Unfortunately there are many issues to take up with this University. Let's start with the secondary in importance. The little things, parking is expensive and a hassle, student life is nonexistent unless you plan on being in the greek system. Advisors and offices are unhelpful and will treat you like a number. Even more importantly, the academics are very disappointing. Curriculums are questionable, outdated, and take years for professors to change. Large lectures where a professor will never know your name. Multiple semesters worth of required classes. Little opportunities for internships and jobs in this small city. Many buildings and classrooms were run down or not up to date. Very little financial support and not many grants, scholarships, awards. It seems the priority of this school is on athletics, not academics. Even though they have millions of dollars there is a shortage of equipment, space, computers.

UNL is overall a great school in a nice city with a small town attitude.

This is a very good place for college

I cannot imagine going to any other school--I love it! The best thing about the school are the other students, the professors, the courses, the athletics, and the opportunities. I remember my first day on campus, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I felt at home. This was an awesome feeling because the first day of high school all the new freshmen were called names and looked down upon. It was such a relief when I came here and felt welcomed.
UNL is a pretty big school, around 25,000. However, it does not feel that big once you are on campus. I have had lectures with 250 students, but I have also had small discussion based classes with only 15 students as well. For me, the size is just right because it offers both small and large classes.
I spend all my time on campus, either in my greek house, in the campus union, or in the classroom. I love that everything is so close, you can get anywhere on campus in 10 minutes walking. I love living on campus and being so close to everything and everyone.
One of my favorite parts of UNL is the staff. I have had around 30 professors since being in college and I have enjoyed every single one. All professors teach very differently though, so you have to understand what your professor expects of you. My freshman year, I was too nervous to create relationships with my professors, but now I find that it is extremely important.
The most fun part of UNL is the football games. The experience is matchless. I love watching football in the student section and cheering on the huskers to victory. Students take a lot of pride in the school and will support the team not matter the season or record.

The University of Nebraska- Lincoln is my home! I can not imagine going to college anywhere else. The opportunities available to students here are too large to number. The number of student organizations make it nearly impossible to be inactive on campus due to a lack of program. The professors are all very kind and willing to help their students. Office hours are always offered by teachers and professors will often schedule appointments with students who need additional help.
UNL is the perfect size. It is large enough that something is always going on around campus but small enough that you will always see a friendly face every day.
UNL has excellent facilities, from classrooms to exercise facilities to study areas for students. Students are found in every corner of campus studying or relaxing. It is a great atmosphere!
When you go to UNL, you are entering the Home of the Huskers. You will bleed Husker Red here. Most students where school apparel to classes and on gamedays, it is rare to walk a block without hearing someone call "GO... BIG...RED....!!!"
To say the least, I love UNL.

I think the overall best thing about this school is the environment that surrounds the students while walking around campus. You feel a sense of pride in UNL amongst the student body. Everyone is proud to not only be a student at UNL but also a Cornhusker. I have found throughout my almost four years at UNL that there have been some excellent professors but also some professors who were not as involved with their students. If there would be one thing I'd changed it'd be to make sure all professors are committed to their education of the students. I find that UNL is a perfect size as it is for my own personal preference. It may be an adjustment for someone who is from a smaller town but for someone from a city such as Lincoln it is very comfortable. When I inform someone that I attend UNL they immediately know that I am getting an incredible education and will success in my future career. What I like about UNL is I feel comfortable spending time anywhere throughout campus whether that be in a specific Hall, The Union, The Library or even my own sorority. UNL really represents their college town during their excellent game days where you find almost everyone walking the streets of campus cheering on the beloved Husker football team. You feel a sense of pride and unity throughout the town of Lincoln. I believe the administration is incredibly involved and active to provide the best education for each individual student at UNL. I will always remember my experience at the dorms and how welcoming everyone was to me. I will remember the football games and all my times spent with my friends walking around campus having fun together but also studying with one another.

I love going to this school and I believe that transfering here was the best decision that I ever made during my sophomore year. I belong to the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and the opportunities are amazing there. One example is that during the summer of 2010 I was able to work with the National Special Olympics when they were in Lincoln.
UNL is composed to two campuses, City and East. I spent most of my time on city until my last semester when I found a much cheaper dorm on East campus. City campus is great if you like to be near downtown and aound all the action but East campus is a lot better if you like the peace and quiet.
Lincoln is not a college campus, it is way too big for that. Once you get out of the downtown area there is no hint that there is a college anywher near it. There are a lot of experiences to have in Lincoln. UNL is a big school, and the dean has plans to make it even larger, but it never feels so overcrowded. I worried when I transferred here that it would be crazy with all of the people walking aroun, but it really felt about the same as the smaller school that I left in South Dakota.
I think that there is a lot of school pride at UNL. Just going to a Husker football game can show you were I am coming from. The fans go crazy, and many students moods hinge on the outcome of the game. One of the reason that I decided to come to UNL was because of my dad and I watching the games when I was younger and I wanted to be a part of that.

The best thing about UNL is game days. Cheering for the huskers is like a religion here. Everyone wears red and is so involved when the football team has a home game. This is school is just the right size. All of my classes I can easily walk to. I think Lincoln is a great college town. It is considered a small town but it has the environment of a big city. There is everything you could possibly need in walking distance of campus. I go to dinner at Applebee's and Old Chicago all of the time and then go to a movie after without having to use my car at all. I loved living in the dorms my freshman year. The food is great in the dinning halls. I truly believe that UNL has the most school pride out of any school in the country. Every alumni continues to be a die hard husker fan.
