I would tell myself to make sure that I apply for colleges in my junior year of high school to give myself time to choose which school I would like to attend. I would also apply for scholarships during this time as well, this will give me an opportunity to be able to receive more funding for school and not depend on loans. Most importantly know what I would like to major in and make sure I do my research to see which colleges will offer me the best education. There is a lot of competition out there when it comes to applying for colleges and scholarships getting a head start will give me more of a better opportunity.

The transition to college can be a difficult one. Consider staying close to home and taking community college general education classes to start with. This will allow you to save money, and provide you the chance to get used to college life. College is full of new experiences and ideas, and there is so much that you will learn about the world and yourself through your studies. Take some time to find out what you really want to do with your life, and choose your major once you have a clear picture. Most importantly, stick with it. College can be tough sometimes, especially when you are interacting with so many different people who have such varied life experiences as college students do. It is so important to complete your education and receive a degree. Going back to school after having a family is so much more challenging. Take the opportunity to enjoy the educational experience without having to worry about that. It will ensure much better emplyment options for you in the future, and a more stable financial future for you and any family you may have later on.

Do not put off going to college. You may think that you will be able to succeed without a college education and you might be one of the lucky few that do. A college education is very important and will be even more so in the future. It gets harder to go back to school as life progresses. There will be family obligations that will demand your time and if you wait to go back once you have a family and a job, sometimes it might seem near impossible. Do not give up your dreams. Your dreams are just as important as other's dreams. Study hard. You will never stop learning no matter what you age. You will find that you will learn more while in college than just the information you will learn in class and by reading assignments. Everyone should experiene college life. Even if it is just to the local community college. You are smarter than what you think you are. Do not wait to learn that lesson. We all have barriers that keep us from obtaining our goals. You must work hard to get them. Nothing worth having ever comes easy.

Dear Future Self, Please remember your goals and how important they are to you. When the idea of marriage comes along please do not automatically assume that is the best thing. You can get married after high school and after college. Korey will wait for you. Sty focused on school. Graduate and go to a university. Get that writing degree you have always dreamed of. If you do not do these things you will regret it. You will struggle with school, because when you go back you will be 25 with a one year old and a three year old. It is very hard and if you wait for marriage and children until after college you will be more finacially stable. Please take heed to these words and realize that life is not fun and games and life is definitely not a disney movie. Thanks!

This question is especially interesting to me as I did not make it to my senior year in high school. Four months into my freshman year at one of the top three high schools in my city, I had to make the decision to drop out and work full time. My home life was unstable, to say the least, and school was not a priority. Fifteen years later, I began my journey to obtain my GED and my Bachelors degree in Accounting. If I could go back in time and talk to myself as a high school student, I would motivate myself to keep pushing no matter what my current circumstances were. I'd encourage myself to seek guidance, mentorship and to take advantage of all available resources to help me stay the course. I 'd stress the importance of finishing strong and remind myself that somewhere down the line, I'd have a family and children of my own that would look to me for strength to finish the journey. I would remind myself that I was an A student, that I can do this and that college is waiting for me!

You will face many challenges in your life some will teach you how to see the good in the world and some will teach you how to see the bad coming from light years away. Please avoid those with pipe dreams sellers which you know deep in your heart are too good to be true that will leave you feeling destitute and unworthy of praise. Focus on your main objective and save as many as you can from experiencing the treatment many AIDS patients experience because of predjudice beliefs and outdated regulations. Never forget why you began your journey.

The advise I would give to myself would be to study harder. Also, I would like to have prepared myself to be more college driven. Find a college to attend that would suit my lifestly and interests. Do not think that I will take time off and attend college later because it will only harm my career in the long run. A degree is necessary to have a well paying job that can provide a lifestyle that I would not be able to have otherwise. Overall work hard, have activities to put on an application and research the college that would be my first choice. Do not delay.

During your junior year make sure you research and apply to all the schools that you like. Ensure that you are able to choose to attend college after high school because you still have the knowlege. Make sure that you are able to get the proper information that is needed in order to attend school. Make sure that you weigh the pro's and con's of going to school online or on campus. Do what is best for you and not to please friends and family. Choose a coolege where you are able to express yourself through learning. You have to ensure that the career path you choose in college is something that you feel right doing. The cost can also play a great factor the more money the more money you will have to pay after the education is done.

the best advice will be , time is precious the faster you gett in a college i the best decision you can made in live , most of the people graduate from high school and get to work and think the high school degree is all ,,, no the high school is only the begin of new thiing ....and college or university is the culmination of the dream .

If I could travel back to the nineties and talk to my high school self, there is so much I could say. First and foremost, I would say stay in school and value your education. I would also tell myself that living for today is good, but you still need to concentrate and plan for your future. I took most, if not all, of my high school education for granted. I was a young kid that knew everything already and didn't want to be learn Chemistry if I wasn't going to be a chemist. I fought my parents hard and did the wrong things by skipping classes and not caring about graduating. I didn't realize at the time that my bad decisions were turning into poor life choices. I'm not sure where I thought I was going to go in life with no education, and while I've gotten much further than most would, it wasn't easy.
