I think my school is very diversified in terms of race, ethnicity, and personalities. Students are eager to share their information about jobs and interests with other students. School location in downtown Seattle also makes students somewhat surrounded with more job opportunities and social entertainments in comparison to other schools in Washington State. Also, students here at UW enjoys its great transpotation system which helps easy access to downtown Seattle and the campus.

Travis

Seattle is awesome. I have a combination of downtown and suburbia and it works quite well.

There's a lot of focus in research and sciences. However, UW is still strong in other areass such as the arts and humanities. It's close to downtown and nature at the same time. The campus is beautiful, especially when the cherry trees blossum. The libraries are wonderful and the engineering buildings have great facilities.

Hayley

It is incredibly diverse and therefore there are multitudes of on-campus events that you cannot find at any smaller university.

Logan

It's close enough to home that I can visit, but far enough that I am still independent.

Although classes can be bigger than at smaller schools, faculty are experts in their fields and engaging teachers. Faculty do research that matters and gets recognized. There are several libraries on campus, lots of resources for research and expanding personal interests. Students are offered a really wide variety of departmental study abroad programs and foreign exchange programs and are encouraged to study abroad.

This school is high in national and international rankings and is getting higher every year. The area is very liberal and since we are just outside a big city there are a lot of unique work and volunteer opportunities. My school allows you to design your own major (which you could not do at some of the other schools I looked at) and there are a lot of options for study areas and specializations. This school is diverse (thanks to being part of a big city) so that is a plus.

Paulo

Very liberal and accepting of all walks of life. It's easy to find your niche here. This school is fantastic for those who are geared towards the sciences. As well as other majors because it attracts many influential professionals from around the west coast.

Heidi

We have so many options on majors and so many resources to get to where we want.

Stephen

It's one of the few major research universities on the West Coast. Being in the middle of Seattle, it offers tremendous access to everything from night life to sports to hiking and skiing to cultural events. It also means that jobs are easy to find in any field. Housing varies from the very cheap to the very expensive. The campus is architecturally grand and has an incredible variety of trees and plant life. With more than 40,000 students (26,000 undergraduates), there are hundreds of registered organizations, and nearly every interest can be met here.
