Virginia Commonwealth University Top Questions

The most popular group by far is the basketball team. The entire school revolves around basketball. VCU's art school has a fashion branch, which I am involved with through modeling. I think most people leave their dorm doors open. Athletic events are popular when it comes to VCU Basketball. Theater isn't as big but performances do sell out. The dating scene is the same as any school. 2am on a Tuesday consists of girl night for me and my girlfriends. Homecoming is our biggest tradition and everyone always goes all out. VCU isn't a known party school but we know how to get down ;) Fraternities and Sororities aren't as popular as other university's but people get pretty into it here.

The most popular groups on campus are greek or community service organizations. Students leave their door open in the dorms. Basketball events are very popular the others are not. Theater and guest speaker are popular as well. The dating scene is not that goood. Most students do not approach someone they like. I met my closest friends through work study jobs and residence hall. If I am awake at 2am on a Tuesday I am up with some friends either watching TV/movie or having a good conversation. Traditions at VCU are the fashion show, intercultural festivel, career fair, and homecoming. People party at least two weekends out the month. Greek life is important but not a neccesity. Last weekend I went to a party and I studied for some future tests. On saturday nights I lot of people go out to parties/clubs to dance or go out to eat. Off campus students tend to be centered around parties.
