There has been a lot of talk in the media about the return on investment (ROI) for those who attend college. Some believe that the cost of a college education is starting to outweigh the benefits, or that students should consider starting a business instead of hitting the books. Personally, I think a college degree is priceless; there’s so much more to school than assignments and exams. College is where you can discover who you are and what drives you. It also gives you time to explore potential careers and make connections. Yes, a few people may get lucky enough to stumble upon the next big thing and strike it rich, but that’s not going to happen for the majority of us. Fortunately, going to college doesn’t necessarily mean you have to work three jobs or take out huge student loans to pay your tuition. Who is eligible to apply?

Any legal, U.S. resident who is 13 years or older and plans to enroll in an accredited U.S. college.

How do I enter?

Submit a short essay (250 words or less) telling us what you would say to someone who says an education doesn’t matter.

Where do I Apply?

Applications are only accepted online and must be submitted no later than 11: 59 p.m. EST on November 30.
