Have you ever noticed that dads sometimes seem to get the short end of the stick? You frequently hear people give a shout out to moms during their graduations or acceptance speeches, but where’s the love for pops? Maybe he’s not the one who takes care of you while you’re sick, or spends countless hours washing clothes and making meals, but that doesn’t mean he’s not an important part of your life and they also deserve these scholarships for single dads.
Many men put their personal aspirations on hold to care for and support their families. I know my father always wanted to play in a band, but instead, he opted for the stable life of an engineer. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our own dreams that we forget others have made sacrifices to help us along our paths. And if you know a dad (or other man) looking to head back to college for a second chance at his dream, be sure to share these scholarship for single dads opportunities with him.
