Jonathan Dax Cooke is a visionary entrepreneur with a keen eye for identifying and developing opportunities, which makes him a charismatic leader. Jonathan Dax Cooke began his career with Citigroup’s Capital Markets in conjunction with the Culverhouse School of Business work study program at University of Alabama. His Citibank – Culverhouse experience seeded a domestic and international capital markets perspective that exists to this day. Dax Cooke is a three time recipient of NAIFA’s 40 under 40 award.

At GibsonSingleton Virginia Injury Attorneys, we try to stop accidents before they happen. That's why we launched our ""Texts=Wrecks"" campaign in 2018 – to save lives. But we need your help!We strongly believe that the next generation is a great one, and that you will be leaders in changing the way America drives. So we want to hear your best ideas – including things you've already tried that have worked – to help yourself, your family members, and your friends drive more safely. For inspiration, check out our previous winners. We are offering a $1,000 scholarship for one deserving Virginia high school student who will graduate by June 2023, or a college student anywhere in the United States who graduated from a Virginia high school. BrandSource Scholarship (Foster Love-Together We Rise)

Together We Rise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Our vision is to improve the lives of children in foster care, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with individuals, companies, and community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system. TWR works with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring our programs to foster youth across the nation. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and sweet cases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.

WRNS Studio Foundation Scholarship

The WRNS Studio Foundation Scholarship Program was established in 2021 and seeks to cultivate a thriving higher education program that will encourage Black students to pursue careers in architecture by providing multi-year educational financial support and access to professional relationships. WRNS Studio Foundation recognizes the barriers to higher education and the study of architecture. The WRNS Studio Foundation Scholarship Program was established in 2021, and makes monetary awards to full-time students in California, Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, and Washington. Students pursuing degrees in architecture or design at approved NAAB-accredited programs, including a five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree, or a four-year pre-professional bachelor’s degree followed by a Master of Architecture degree are eligible to apply. The monetary award includes funding for costs of tuition, fees, room and board, along with an allotment for qualified educational expenses. In addition, recipients receive a personalized, one-on-one commitment by WRNS Studio staff members who provide advisory support until graduation.

Lowenthal & Abrams Hospital Safety Awareness Scholarship

Lowenthal & Abrams, Injury Attorneys, seek to bring attention to cases of medical malpractice with the goal of making hospitals a safer place for all. Injuries within hospitals are becoming more common every year due to negligence and medical malpractice. Medical errors are a significant cause of death in the United States. We want to have a discussion on different ways to improve hospital conditions and we believe this scholarship is a perfect opportunity. Raising awareness is the first step in making hospitals safer for all of us. The medical malpractice lawyers at Lowenthal & Abrams, Injury Attorneys, want to bring attention to hospital safety – and discuss solutions to the issue. We want to hear your ideas, and the student who has the best idea will receive a $1,000 check to put towards their education!

The Joseph M. Fannell Memorial Foundation Creative and Performing Arts Scholarship

On June 4, 2015, Joseph M. Fannell was on his way to work when a driver ran a red light and struck his car broadside; he died from injuries suffered in the crash the following day. Although Joseph found enjoyment “working among lawyers,” Joseph’s passion was spoken word and performance-based poetry, an interest he first developed in high school. Joseph was known to go around to various classes reciting favorites pieces he had heard before his classmates and peers. The Joseph M. Fannell Memorial Foundation was established in the wake of Joseph’s death to continue his life and memory by creating and supporting programs to help young people overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
