Tim Sloan Teammate Scholarship

Every Body Athletics’ mission is to make a lasting impact on the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) through inclusive group exercise. EBA serves adults who have aged out of special education (21 and over) who come from day programs, supported living settings, or those still living with their parents/guardians. Designed by staff with Master's degrees in Special Education, Doctoral degrees in Occupational Therapy, and dual certifications in Personal Training and Special Populations Personal Training, each weekly EBA class provides specialized, adaptive exercises that focus on participants’ specific physical needs while inserting time for social practice along the way. Classes include a 1:1-2 ratio of teammates without disabilities (see VOLUNTEER) to promote inclusion and increased participation. Every Body Athletics believes that everybody is an athlete, regardless of physical or cognitive capacities. Every Body Athletics also gets its name from our focus on exercising every part of the body: physical, social, and emotional. Lastly, Every Body Athletics understands that we all benefit when everybody is included in our society and communities.

Hoggatt Injury Law Children of Injured Workers Scholarship

At Hoggatt Injury Law, we are passionate about supporting workers and their families whose lives have been affected by work-related injuries. We know that workplace injuries can have far-reaching financial ramifications, including when it comes to a family’s ability to provide for their children’s educational expenses. We hope to help families address this challenge by offering a scholarship to the child of an employee who has been injured or killed in a work-related accident. The Hoggatt Injury Law Children of Injured Workers Scholarship provides $1,000 to assist with a student’s tuition and other educational expenses at their chosen college or university anywhere in the United States.

The Ruth Cheatham Foundation

The Ruth Cheatham Foundation is dedicated to providing hope to young adults in all stages of the cancer treatment process. We offer college scholarships in order to reduce the financial burden of a cancer diagnosis and help young people pursue their dreams of higher education. Teens cancer survivors face financial hardships that limit their options for higher education, on top of all the normal struggles of being a teenager. These young people have some of the most complex treatment needs, yet they receive the least amount of support. Education is key to long-term success, yet out of reach for many financially devastated young cancer patients. TRCF supports survivors to ensure access to higher education and completion of a degree. TRCF bridges the educational opportunity gap and provides the gateway to economic opportunity and a higher quality of life for young cancer survivors.

At Busald Funk Zevely PSC, we have dedicated our lives to representing the underdogs. We are inspired by those who accomplish their goals despite having the odds stacked against them. . Whether it be David versus Goliath, the “Miracle on Ice”, or simply passing a math test you studied tirelessly for – no underdog story is worth going untold. In order to reward and recognize those who have battled their way through adversity to achieve their dreams, we are excited to officially introduce our 2024 Underdog Scholarship! The 2024 Underdog Scholarship was created to reward a student who has gone above and beyond to achieve their goals. To apply for the 2024 Underdog Scholarship, students are encouraged to answer the following prompt: In 750-1,000 words, tell us about a time when you were an underdog. What made you an underdog, and how did you persevere against the odds to accomplish your goal? The winner of the 2021 Underdog Scholarship will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Busald Funk Zevely towards their education.
