Immaculata High School of Chicago Alumnae Association Scholarships

The Immaculata High School of Chicago Alumnae Association awards scholarships to the families of Immaculata High School of Chicago Alumnae who attend Loyola University Chicago. Eligible family members include: children, stepchildren, adopted children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren of Immaculata High School of Chicago alumnae and also descendants of spouses of alumnae. Any woman who graduated from Immaculata High School of Chicago, or attended for at least one year, is considered an alumna. Applicants must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA and must reapply each year. No scholarship is automatically renewed. All applicants for the Immaculata Scholarship must also apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA) prior to submitting the Immaculata Alumnae Scholarship application.

Gannon Scholars

Ten $8,000 scholarships are awarded annually to students who demonstrate outstanding leadership, scholarship, and service and who will advance the mission of the Gannon Center for Women and Leadership. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years based on successful participation in the Gannon Scholars Leadership Program. Students attending Cristo Rey Network schools around the country are invited to apply to join the next class of Cristo Rey Scholars at Loyola University Chicago. Starting the summer before entering Loyola, Cristo Rey Scholars engage in a dynamic program to enrich their academic, social, spiritual, community, and professional experiences in college. In order to be eligible for the scholarship program, applicants must be admitted to Loyola by February 1st. Completed applications for the Cristo Rey Scholars Program must be submitted by March 1st. These schools are known for academic excellence and attract students from around the world. Illinois is also a leader in terms of making college more accessible and affordable. Grant programs like MAP and the Illinois Dream Fund provide generous support to lower and middle class families as well as undocumented students. MAP can also be used at either public or private schools such as Roosevelt, DePaul, Loyola, or Benedictine University. While generous, grants alone often do not cover all a student's educational expenses. For this reason, I encourage all Illinois students I mentor to apply for private scholarships as well.
