  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

Well, now that I work with high school seniors and remembering what I was like I'm sure I wouldn't listen. When I was 18 I knew I should listen to my elders and learn from their wisdom but I chose to ignore everything becasue I knew better. I'm sure my 18 year-old self would just ignore my advise about staying in school and working hard. Therefore, I would probably just say don't give up. No matter the decisions you make as a child or an adult, you need to pursue your dreams with the same fire you had when you were 8 years old staring at the stars. Never allow the world to knock you so far off of your path that you forget what you dreamed about, find a way to make your life's passion a reality.
