This scholarship is available for U.S. college juniors and seniors who are Jewish and demonstrate career promise in a helping profession. Students must also meet one or both of the following criteria: he/she was born or raised in either Cook County, the Chicago metropolitan area, or northwest Indiana OR he/she has completed one continuous year of full-time employment in Cook County or the Chicago metropolitan area prior to starting professional education.

The Leo W. and Alberta V. Thomas Utz Scholarship – English is a scholarship in the amount of $4,000 year for up to four consecutive years to students who are pursing undergraduate or graduate degrees in English. Renewal is conditional upon maintenance of a GPA of 3.25 based on a 4.0 scale used by the educational institution.
Ford Empowering America Scholarship
The “Empowering America” Scholarship program consists of one $3,000 scholarship for a winning student and one $2,000 scholarship for a student selected as runner-up, made payable directly to each student’s educational institute. The Parker and Virginia Howell Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors and undergraduarte students from the city of Ventura, California. Applicants must have unmet financial need, a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must be planning to major in creative writing or engineering.
Irene Gustafson Scholarship Fund
The Irene Gustafson Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors in Moscow, Idaho. Applicants must be a member of at least one charitable organization and should have strong verbal or written skills in the English language.
Dr. Claude Arnold Scholarship Award
The Dr. Claude Arnold Scholarship Award is available for students at the University of Central Oklahoma who are majoring in Classical Literature or English. Additional preference will be given to students focusing on Old English as well as Medieval and Renaissance literature.
