The purpose of the Teacher Loan-For-Service program is to proactively address New Mexico’s teacher shortage by providing students with the financial resources to complete or enhance their post-secondary teacher preparation education.

NM Nursing Loan-For-Service

To apply, students must complete the New Mexico Medical Student Loan-for-Service application and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. This scholarship is for members of the IEEE Computer Society who currently have a 3.0 grade point average or higher. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a career in the computing industry.

Kansas Career Technical Workforce Grant

This award is available to Kansas undergraduate students who are planning to enroll in a certificate/two-year vocational-technical program.

Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship

This award is available to Kansas undergraduate minority students who are planning to enroll at a Kansas college or university. Students must demonstrate financial need and must be identified as members of any of the following ethnic/racial groups: African American, American Indian or Alaskan Native; Asian or Pacific Islander; or Hispanic. Awarding priority is given to eligible renewals and freshmen students.

Tom Taylor Memorial Scholarship to Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology

This scholarship is available for international and U.S. high school seniors who desire to pursue an associate’s degree in applied science or a diploma in aviation maintenance technology at NEC Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

University of Maine Blake Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are residents of LaGrange, Maine and attending the University of Maine. Students must be in the top 40 percent of their class and have an SAT score of 1100 or higher or a composite ACT score of 24 or higher.
