This award is available for U.S. high school seniors of Czech, Slovak or Moravian heritage who are graduating from a high school in Linn County, Iowa. Students must plan to enroll full time at a college or university in Iowa.
Glenn and Mary Wendler Scholarship
High school seniors graduating from Clear Creek-Amana, Linn County, or Iowa County high schools in Iowa are eligible for this award. Students must be planning to pursue a career in engineering, architecture or construction, and must plan to attend an Iowa college.
O.J. and Viola N. Elsenbast Scholarship
This scholarship is available for high school seniors who are graduates of a school in the Graettinger Community School District or its legal successor. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Mildred Joslin Scholarship for Kirkwood Community College
Graduating high school seniors who are attending Washington High School in Cedar Rapids and are planning to enroll full time at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids are eligible for this award. Students must demonstrate financial need.
Kleiman Family Scholarship
High school seniors graduating from high schools in the metropolitan Linn-Mar, College Community, and Marion school districts are eligible for this award. Students must plan to attend Iowa State University, the University of Iowa or the University of Northern Iowa.
Stevenson University Honors Scholarship for Transfer Students
U.S. students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa who plan to transfer to Stevenson University in Maryland are eligible for this award. Students must have completed 12 or more credit hours of college coursework.
Stevenson University Merit-Based Scholarship Program
International and U.S. high school seniors who are planning to enroll at Stevenson University are eligible for this award. Students must demonstrate academic achievement.
Frances Crawford Marvin American Indian Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. Native American students who are undergraduate or graduate students (preference is given to undergraduates). Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Cedar Rapids College Opportunity Scholarship
This award is available for U.S. students who are graduating high school seniors attending one of the eligible public or private high schools in the Cedar Rapids/College Community/Linn-Mar/Marion areas are eligible for this award. Students must rank in the top 1/3 of their graduating class, participate in extracurricular activities inside and outside of school, have a clear sense of his/her career goals, and demonstrate financial need.
