LITA/LSSI Minority Scholarship in Library and Information Technology

U.S. and Canadian citizens who will have earned no more than 12 hours towards a Master of Library Science degree by June of the award year are eligible for this award. Students must be members of a principal minority group; attend an ALA-accredited school; and plan to enter the library automation field.

New York Women in Communications Foundation College Scholarship

This award is available for U.S. female high school seniors and/or current college students who are permanent residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania. Students must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher overall, and major in a communications-related field, such as advertising, broadcasting, communications, journalism, marketing, new media or public relations.

Banatao Filipino American Education Fund Scholarship

This award is available for Filipino high school seniors who are a resident of California. Applicants must major in math, engineering, computer science, or the physical or biological sciences (excluding healthcare). Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund

Applicants must be studying in a graduate program in the United States with at least one full year of academic coursework left to be completed. Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants. This award is for U.S and Canadian students.

Eloise Collins Endowment Scholarship

This award is available for U.S. and international female residents of Louisiana who are currently majoring or planning to major in a medical field. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Fleming/Blaszcak Scholarship

U.S. students of Mexican heritage who are enrolled full time in a four-year college or graduate school are eligible for this award. Students must major in or take courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics/polymer industry.

MALDEF Law School Scholarship

This award is available for Hispanic students who will be enrolled full time in a law program during the upcoming school year. Selection will be made by considering involvement in and commitment to serve the Hispanic community through the legal profession academics professional achievements and financial need.

Dr. Juan D. Villarreal/HDA Foundation Scholarship

This award is for U.S. dental and dental hygiene students enrolled at a college or university in Texas. Applicants must be members of the Hispanic Dental Association and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Jimmy A. Young Memorial Education Recognition Award

This scholarship is for U.S. undergraduate students currently enrolled in a respiratory care program. The applicant must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to be eligible. Preference for this award will be given to minorities.
