I attend this university online, so there's not much I can say about campus life. However, I do know that there are campuses in Atlanta and Houston, so I would invite anyone that is interested to look at the university's website for further information at www.https://www.aiuniv.edu/. When I applied here, as a transfer student, a rep for the university called me immediately to go over my plan for my degree, graduation, and financial matters. There's also an app! So whether an online student or not, there is a way for you to keep up to date with what's happening at the school, your class schedule, and the necessary resources to complete and succeed in your classes. You are also set up with an admissions advisor, financial advisors, and your instructors who are there to help you stay on top of your important matters. I'd say give them a try! I applied to AIU in the fall of 2022 and will have completed my degree in Spring 2024.

I think AIU is a great choice if you are looking to attend college. They offer on campus classes as well as online courses. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and very profesional. You will be equipped with a graduation team that will motivate you to complete your goals. The whole culture is different, it's like we all are a big family. We support each other regardless of our differences.

Horrible school. Stay away!! One of the worst places to go. They lie and don't care about their students. Will not let you know about financial aid until it is gone. I wish I had never heard of this school. They are under a large lawsuit as well right now!!

Its convenient, professors are nice and show genuine concern for students, there is great resources to help with certain needs, advisors ate always here to help and always courtesy call u to check on you. I love the school!

I love this school. I have attended online for just over a year. I will graduate in just over a year. 2 1/2 years for a bachelor, so the classes seem to be accelerated for the online programs. This gives me a chance to participate in whatever capacity I choose. Very flexible lesson plans and helpful staff for the most part. I have had 2 instructors so far that I would give a poor rating to, but life isn't perfect. As long as you put in the work and time, anyone can excel at this school. You have to be super focused though.
Robert
They are a fantastic school with an excellent support system. All of the faculty/staff are extremely helpful and are always available when I have questions about an and their online portal is super fun and easy to use . Even though it is online the students all make an effort to interact with one another, and help each other with any issues they have. I absolutely love it here and highly suggest it to anyone who is looking to do online schooling they make it fun and very inviting you're first day, and when they first initially contact you and your advisors guide you every step of the way.
Amilyn
I absolutely love it. The staff is very friendly easy to talk to extremely helpful. The classes are easy to follow andn fun. They have a student mobile app available for students 2 do their school work on the go which I absolutely love and makes my life so much easier.
Cynthia
The instructors are very supportive and always willing to go that extra mile whenever it's needed. The support staff are all well informed and also go that extra bit to help the students out as much as they possibly can. The Financial Aid department has been especially patient with me.
Crystal
Great school with resources and assistance to help you succeed to graduate. The faculty and staff are there to help assist with barriers by providing solutions. I also like my check-in with my academic and financial advisors. They both keep me informed and reach out to me on a weekly basis. I also like the resources and reading material. They are is easy for me to refer to and provides definitions to understanding the term or key words. Lastly the student virtual and mobile website s make learning convient and it's easy to navigate. I'm glad I choose American Intercontinental University.

My online college is incredible. My professors are always available and they reply back to me in such a timely manner. They encourage me to not give up and to work hard. I recently lost my brother and all my professors had my back encouraging me onto to give up. They supply me with the the tools I need to be successful.
Emily
I absolutely love it! The staff are so helpful and even though it is online; you still get the same if not more attention from your professors. I love the college and everything it stands for. The advisers are wonderful as well. My student, financial, and admissions advisers are the best! They take such good care of the students and really work with you to create the best program to fit your needs.

So far everyone I have talked with has been very helpful.

I just applied to the school and did my first unit assignment and it seems like a great school. The advisors are very involved and will remind you everytime they speak on the phone. I can’t count how many emails I have from my advisors trying to assist me in beginning my experience in AIU. They remind you of the importance of having a good support system and include themselves in your support system. I’m very excited to attend this school.
Olivia
My overall opinion is great! I really love how they check on you! See if you have any questions or concerns. I mean my experience has been so good so far. I have only been doing my pre course. So who knows. I mean I like how they help you achieve your goals and the professors or interactive. They really check in with you .

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I should have done it a long time ago.I mean i should have started college a long time ago.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known how much I would have had to think outside my box. When I started at AIU I had recently separated from my husband and initially did not have a lot of experience with furthuring my education. Luckily, I was able to push through and persevere which led to me graduating with an Associate's degree in Business Administratin and a Bachelor's in Computer Systems.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
I liked AIU because it was fast paced and you could work independelty. I needed a BA and did not want to drag out the process. The five week classes were long enough to learn the material but not too long to lose interest. The online portion was great because I could do class work and write papers in the middle of the night , even in my downtime at work, and still not miss anything important as I would have during the typical office hours of a traditional school.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Any student who decides to attend AIU Online, or anyonline school ,must be very disciplined and focused. There are many distractions that can occur during the course of their education. If a student is not strong in regards to their time management skills online schools can be vedrt difficult.
The academics are great and in line with whatever degree that a student is trying to achieve. This enable a person to learn and stay on the right road to achieve the degree that would be in line with their studies.
All classes on online which gives me the freedom to continue my professional career and hopefully make the advancements I am looking forward to when finished with school in April.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The classes are quick and you can't fall behind at all. You have to be on top of everything to get help. The classes are five weeks long so you have to really look ahead to see what you might have trouble with.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
The student commons offers a great atmosphere for interaction among students. I enjoy getting to know my peers and listening to their advice, as well as giving it.
