What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
My college experience at Bellarmine University has made me grow into a stronger and more outgoing person. Before college I was a shy person and didn't really pay attention to my grades or focus on my career. After my first few months of college I was a completely different person. I had made friends and I knew how important it was to focus on my future. I make sure that I try my best and get the best grades I can on all of my assignments in the classrooms. My school is small, so if I need to I can always talk to one of my professors. Also at Bellarmine, they let you have hands on experience with your future careers. I am going to be a teacher and every semester I am able to observe in a classroom. This is extremely beneficial to me because it shows me what my career will be like. College is very important for me to attend and I enjoy everyday that I am in the classroom at my school.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I have been enrolled in Bellarmine University for five months and I would have to say the amount of diversity is the worst thing on the campus. Although there is not much of a cultural melting pot, everyone at the school is accepting of every race. I appreciate the emphasis the school is putting on trying to diversify Bellarmine University. There contributions are showing in the statistics and that shows the amount of care in the school.

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The parking. Freshman have to park in 'freshman parking' which is all the way across campus from the residence halls. Anytime you want to go somewhere, you have to prepared for the 1/2 mile walk to you car, then the 1/2 mile walk back to the residence halls. It's just frustrating whenever you have to be somewhere, but it takes you ten minutes to get to your car.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
The kind of person that shouldn't attend this University is a slacker. There is really no room for anyone that is lazy. And plus it doesn't take long for the teachers to determine who works hard and who plays hard. If you coperate with others and are willing to learn than you can and will suceed. I found my first two semesters to be very dificult to transition myself into. Without the help of upperclassmen and eager teachers then I would have slipped between the cracks.

What is your overall opinion of this school?
--------------PARENTAL WARNING------------------
Bellarmine claims to be a safe Catholic college with a focus on community and service of. The reality is Bellarmine is a university that has a focus on drinking and vandal majors. They do not care about community, and I can assure you, doubly assure you -- If your child doesnt have a drinking problem now, they will when they leave. research carefully, walk around the surrounding neighborhoods and Bardstown Rd. on a weekend before making your decision. If you DO want your child to learn how to drink and disrespect other peoples property and quality of life, Bellarmine is a good choice, but there are much cheaper places to get that same education and save more more money for the booze. As a parent myself, I WOULD NOT recommend Bellarmines alcohol soaked campus and spoilt, entitlement-prone, thug-student population to anyone. Its a type of education no one needs.
