As a high school senior gearing up for college, Blinn College seems like a pretty decent option to
kick-start my higher education journey. From what I've gathered, it offers a bunch of perks that
make it stand out.
First off, there's the whole community college vibe, which I'm kind of digging. Smaller class
sizes and a more chill atmosphere sound like they could make the transition from high school to
college a bit smoother. Plus, it's easier on the wallet compared to jumping straight into a
four-year university, which is definitely a win in my book.
I'm also liking the idea of using Blinn as a stepping stone to transfer to a bigger university later
on. They've got these transfer agreements with a bunch of schools, so I could knock out my
general education requirements without racking up crazy student loan debt. That flexibility is
clutch, especially if I'm still figuring out my major or want to explore different options before
committing.
Of course, Blinn isn't perfect. I've heard it might not have as many program options or fancy
facilities as some other colleges, but I'm willing to trade a bit of glitz for a solid education that
won't leave me drowning in debt.
Overall, Blinn seems like a solid choice for me right now. It's affordable, convenient, and offers a
pathway to a bachelor's degree down the line. Plus, who knows? Maybe I'll find my niche in the
Blinn community and thrive there. Only one way to find out!

I think it’s a great school and can’t wait for my day to start in the fall
NAYELI - 12/08/2023
If I knew it would be like this at the rellis campus I would have never paid to attend. You end up paying the same fee in doing classes online as in person. No nearby places to shop or eat make it much more difficult. Wouldn't recommend it unless you an a&m student.
Cole - 07/20/2023
Blinn College was a great place to slowly ease into the college lifestyle. Work was difficult, but not overbearing and I accomplished everything I wanted to in my short time there. Teachers were easily accessible and held office hours as well as helping when needed with students whether the class was in person or online. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go there as it helped me adjust to the heavy workload that college can often be.

Blinn was good, but a community college. You know who's there to learn and who's there to get out of the house. I made one friend my first semester, and it's only because we were from the same place. Certain professors care and others are absolutely terrible. Overall, I am excited to move on, but I don't regret going there. You just have to make sure you find things outside of Blinn to keep you occupied.
Emily - 10/29/2021
Blinn is a great college to go to if you want to get your basics out of the way and save a ton of money on tuition. I have been at Blinn for a year now and everyone is very friendly and the school does a good job of keeping you informed on the things happening around campus.
Ariel - 10/27/2020
I think it is a good way to start college, gives you the feeling of a university. I also feel like Blinn would be a great fit for me because it in state and close to my home so it want be so hard moving out from my home and getting use to being independent and living and making adult chooses on your own.

I am a freshman at Blinn and I think its a good school. I like the dorms because they are private but you can still have roommates, the class sizes are small enough for you to get to know your professors personally, and I am planning on transferring to Texas A&M and they have classes that transfer directly to it easily.
Bruna - 07/13/2020
The professors are good, helpful and flexible. The staff member that I have met are also helpful. The students are awesome. You never need to worry about fitting in.
Blinn is an amazing, very diverse environment and welcoming school. The school itself is small, which I like. This way the teachers are able to help you more because the classes aren't that big.

Great school
Emily - 01/17/2020
Blinn is a great community college if you want to still get a real college experience. Classes are not a walk in the park, so taking studying seriously. For the most part the professors are good at teaching, but some can be very hard. Blinn also has a lot of clubs you can join.
Christopher - 10/29/2019
Blinn College in Sealy is a small school, but don't let that fool you. The education that I receive is top notch. The professors are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the students understand the topic. The staff are friendly and professional. The advisors take time with each student and puts them on a career path to be successful.
Janna - 08/18/2019
I am excited to begin my journey through college as a Buccaneer! My advisors have set me up for future success to transfer over as an Aggie. The classes are overall accommodating to balance life, and school. Being a 16 hour student seemed overwhelming at first however, they showed me just how far I can push myself!
Adryanna - 05/21/2019
I actually love Blinn College. All of the professors are usually pretty nice and always willing to help! The class sizes are great too; I have never had one that was too big or too small. The environment is always friendly and everyone is always ready to lend a helping hand.
Lindaluz - 04/21/2019
I think Blinn College is a great place to start when pursuing higher education. The classes are small enough for the teacher to learn the student's name and remember if they are doing the work.
I like that students are held accountable by taking attendance and being encouraged to participate.
I've had the privilege to meet amazing teachers at Blinn and would recommend it to anyone who wants to go to college and ease their way into it.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Blinn College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would have made sure and focused on my AP classes more and made sure to pass the AP exams for those classes so that i could have gained more credit from those classes and possibly been a college year ahead of where i am now.
A person who wants to further their education but might not have the time or money to attend a major university. Also a person who needs a smaller student to teacher ratio.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The only thing that it is frustrating is the laboratories. These labs need more computers and a bigger structure to develop a right way that makes the student feel comfortable at any time during the day.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Blinn College is a great community institution with all the basic requests that a student needs making it easier for the student to have a successful experience not only with the other students but also with the institution.
At this time of our lives, we are exploring what is out there, what we want to be and how to be on our own which makes us pretty much all in the same boat.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
A person that is not willing to work had or just play around shouldn't attend this school. Reason being, is because you are wasting your time, your money and the teacher and schools time as well. If you are just going to school because your paarents are making you, and you don;t feel its for, then I would not reccommend you attending this school.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
Well theres a lot of things that i brag about my college for example, most of the students there are social friendly and love to converse with one another. The Professors at Blinn College are also very diligent and respectful to there pupils, making education less stressful to the students. Like most Colleges or Universities, Blinn isn't so augmented in size but it also isn't belittled. A perfect sized College that is big enough to hold the education that the student passions for. All in all my College is the place to go to have a good time
Blinn College is an agricultural based school that is good for many things. It has three different campuses. I am currently enrolled in the Bryan campus, so I am going to focus on mainly that one. The Bryan campus is known mainly as a feeder school into Texas A&M University. It has many oppurtunities that help people getting accepted into A&M. Also many of the Blinn teachers are also teachers at A&M, which may help people get ready for university life.
I believe the most popular classes offered are transferable credit classes. Many students attend here because of it's high transfer rate to colleges and affordable tuition.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
