I am a transfer student going to University of California - Irvine but during my time at both Fresno City Community College and Clovis Community, I can say that I think Clovis Community is located in an extreely safer location in the city. Id feel way more comfortable walking around the school if I were at Clovis Community than the latter. They also have an emergency button where security can come reach you. Classes are good as well as some of their professrors. However, they could be a bit more passionate and enthusiastic.

I think that Clovis Community could be more reachable for their students as well as allowing their students to achieve far more than they offer. I think that the professors could be more understanding of their student's situations and personal lives.
Celeste
To me, Clovis Community feels just like high school. I think the teachers are much better than those in high school though. Because it is a community college, not many of the students care, which results in students never coming to class or not doing work. Though many of the teachers are helpful, it seems when we need some of them the most, they disappear. Overall Clovis Community is pretty average, there are obviously some things I'd change, but its a pretty alright school.

It is an exceptional school especially compared to other Community Colleges. All of the instructors I have encountered were very professional, smart, and helpful. There is a push to help students succeed in all they do. This school is also incredibly affordable. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in furthering their education.

It is really great, I really like the staff that works there. They are amazing with helping everyone. The teachers are great because they try to help everyone who needs it. The student services are great because they provide alot of stuff for everyone. They have alot of things that I like.

the classes needed to give what students need to transfer are fairly convient, most of it is offered. But if you want to actually learn something you are going to either do some major research on the teachers you are getting or wait to university, because the majority of the teachers go off state standards they do Common Core, and needless to say, common core doesnt work, I very rarely ever hear somebody say full good things about a teacher, either its all negative, or its something along the lines of "hes funny and cool, but not the greatest teacher". On top of that, most of the classes, particularly science, math and stuff are doing homework and stuff online, which may work for some people, personally though I hate it, more and more teachers are doing it and as a result they are teaching very little in class and relying off these online programs to teach for them, and its not effective at all. The cafe however, its a hotpots, can get soupy at times, but the food is alright, its edible, not many choices, but the family that owns it work hard. The school itself is practically located in the middle of the desert with a high school right across from it, so no easy walks to a 7/11 or anything, you have to either plan your classes accordingly to have a large break, like 2-3 hour to drive somewhere, or simply wait out your day, and the hangout spots arnt really the most comfortable in the world, being that all the hangout spots are the computer lab, the library, and the cafe, all of which are constantly filled to the brim with people... If you don't like high schoolers, don't take any classes that go to 3:00, the high schoolers like to come to the college after school, even though the highschool is actually nicer itself, the kids feel cool getting to hang out at a college. All in all, its a community college, but really it feels more like a low grade high school, and the summer is intense because its a small campus with very few trees, so the smallness of the campus almost feels as if its trapping in more heat. I will say again, if you want to actually learn anything in your classes, either do research or don't bother just get your classes done and transfer to university, or go to Fresno City, which is a set of words I never thought I'd say, but at this point, Fresno City is better, more comfortable and better teachers.
This review was done by a student who has been going to CCC since fall 2016 - and will transfer after fall 2019.

Clovis Community College is a terrific, but small school, that enables learners to focus on their goals and to achieve their objectives. The faculty is learned; the staff is supportive; and the whole experience of college is made tolerable there. It is an institution that cares.

Clovis Community College is a commuter college in Fresno, California. The pros of this school is saving thousands of dollars and still receiving a great education. The staff and faculty are very helpful and positive and helpful. The con, on the other hand, is that all the students seem to not want to be there. The school has no sense of culture in the students, yet the school tries its best to develop that, yet nothing has changed.
Alexis
Clovis Community College-Clovis is an overall safe school being near the country side where there isn't much crime activity. Academics are really good, where most students strive to pass their classes and transfer to a bigger college or University.
Emily
Coming out of high school, this campus was great. Easy to navigate, helpful staff, clean and relatively new. Classes are not impacted, parking is not an issue. The only negative is that there are few sports teams and clubs are not regularly utilized in order to make social connections. Overall would recommend 100%!

It is a great college with great people. It's small which I enjoy. However, there are no dorms because it's a community college. Everybody there is very helpful on where to go or if you need help on homework. There are many places to go if you need help on anything from writing a paper to just a basic assignment.

Clovis Community is a great place and everyone is nice and polite to each other. Easy for people to make friends with each other. The campus is nice and clean. The teachers are very helpful when a student is in need. There's no fight in the campus and it is well supervised by security and peace officers.
Sabrina
It's pretty good! This is my first semester so I don't know for sure yet but I do know everyone is very helpful and fun! Students mostly keep to themselves but they are all very intelligent! The professors are very helpful and funny! A lot of them have lots of wise words and experiences to share as well as very funny jokes.

This college is amazing. Each and every aspect has been a great blessing to me. The staff and work studies are very generous and will help immediately when you need it. The teachers truly care about your career and will openly help you if you ask them to. The offices, library, financial aid, gym, library, and bookstore are all quality and have their own way of helping students. This college is great for those who are looking for an affordable college with great teaching and resources. Now, this is just the beginning. The nursing program is the best in state. Many teachers from around the country are coming to the small town of Clovis to teach in the amazing program. There is a year round program and a traditional. I love this college and it has benefited my life immensely.

I would have gotten myself more ready for school and gotten myslef ready for my mothers death. In realty I would have help her and save her life and be ready for my senior. I would also be ready for college and would have tired harder.
