In many ways, I love San Juan College. As it is a community college, class sizes are small so there are many opportunities for one-on-one learning. Professors are available outside of class through office hours or email and are ready and excited to teach you. Food in Mary's Kitchen is also tasty and has different daily options. However, there are shortcomings. I haven't heard the best things about student housing, such as bad accommodations and drinking, so I am housed off campus. While my college isn't perfect, it is a pretty fun place to be!

San Juan College High School is hands down one of the best schools I've ever attended. From the moment I stepped foot on campus, I knew I was in for something special. First of all, the teachers at San Juan College High School are absolutely incredible. They genuinely care about their students and go above and beyond to ensure our success. They're not just there to teach, but to inspire and motivate us to reach our full potential. I've had teachers who have made even the most challenging subjects fun and engaging, and I've learned so much from them. The school itself has a welcoming and supportive environment. It's like one big family. Everyone knows each other, and there's a real sense of community. Whether it's participating in extracurricular activities, joining clubs, or attending school events, there's always something exciting happening at San Juan College High School. One thing I really appreciate about the school is the variety of opportunities it offers. They have a wide range of advanced placement courses, dual credit options, and vocational programs. This allows students to explore their interests and prepare for their future careers. Plus, the resources and facilities available are top-notch, providing us with the tools we need to succeed. Another aspect that sets San Juan College High School apart is the emphasis on college readiness. They provide guidance and support throughout the college application process, helping us navigate scholarships, financial aid, and career planning. It's reassuring to know that they're invested in our future beyond high school. Overall, San Juan College High School has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a place where I feel challenged, supported, and inspired to become the best version of myself. I'm truly grateful for the experiences and opportunities I've had here, and I believe it has prepared me for a bright future.

It's a pretty good school for the most part the teachers are available and nice. I haven't got a class where it was full and no seats. I have enjoyed the teachers I have had for the past credits. I think they are flexible with emergencies or even sickness. There was make up options if you missed which is a really nice thing especially when you miss a few important days. Most teachers were willing to provide notes if I missed a day or more.

San Juan College is a very good college with lots of nice individuals, and lots of resources. Most professors are always open to help students and they keep regular office hours but will help outside of office hours if requested. Campus security is pretty good, there is still the occasional creep hanging out around campus but if you call public safety, it will be taken care of quickly.

I believe that this is a really good school overall. There are a few things I would change like the fact that there are no sports teams and no on-campus housing but they are planning to start construction on housing in the next couple of years. There are a lot of academic classes offered as well as a good selection of fine arts classes. They are also very good about working with students who are undecided in their major. The liberal arts degree program is a way of trying different classes for different career paths while still completing all of the required basic classes that are needed for any degree.

I’ve attended San Juan College for two years now and I love it. The campus is small but it has most, if not all, the amenities a larger University would have. The professors are great and are very helpful outside of the classroom. My favorite aspect of the college are the smaller class sizes. It’s a lot easier to learn when the teacher has more time to help the students.
Desarae - 07/08/2019
It is nice and small and a good place to learn especially with small classes and easy to get around. The professors there make sure you understand and have opened office hours to where if you need it you can go and ask. As well as they have a very nice campus and it is always picked up. San Juan College also makes sure that there is activities there and that people can stay out of trouble and stayed doing things with the school and kept in the loop with everything.

Overall it’s community college so we are a very small college. With a variety of things offered. There’s only a few degrees that you’re able to complete fully at San Juan. So I wouldn’t recommend it to someone who is going into law or the medical field. It’s a great place to become a nurse and dental hygienist.

San Juan College has many opportunities and I'm glad to soon be joining. The staff personally is easy to work with and overall helpful; especially with registering for classes. My younger sibling attends the high school here and they have helped tremendously with his degree plan and overall education. As an outsider I believe San Juan is a great starter college.
Isiah - 04/30/2019
My overall opinion of San Juan College is that its functional. Every staff is happy to help and the college is flexible with payment plans, class schedule, and getting help. Everyone welcomes with a smile and are very polite. The campus is convenient from class being close, stores being fairly close and mostly everything is in walking distance. This is a great community college that will work with you and won't feel like another body there.
Lane - 03/24/2019
It's a very good school and lots of help and no charge to some stuff that you need help with like the one that I needed is having my paper proofread and the counselors or the professor helps me with the things I need help with in the past or the future.
Trevor - 02/14/2019
Overall I would say that San Juan College, is a great place to learn and excel in your early career for college.(As they only offer associate degrees). It has many events groups clubs, and social events to bring people together as a community. There is an excellent cafeteria, with plenty of food options, and for those who want free food there is often a "Student Rush" for free pizza. It has an excellent Safety department that not only keeps the campus safe, but also helps students in need. (Like me, when my cars battery died.) The Instructors at the college inspire their students to do the best they can and to go on to get a bachelor degree(or higher). The Instructors are easily contactable and are very organized in their use of technology to better the class room. Not only that but Instructors also do one-on-one time if a student feels the need to help the succeed. Overall San Juan College is a place where Success matters.

I honestly love San Juan, I have been nothing but impressed with my professors and the availability and helpfulness of staff whenever they are needed. I chose San Juan to return to school because they have plenty of online opportunities which is important to me as a full time employee who leads a very active and busy lifestyle. I am so happy I chose to go back to school and that San Juan was available for me to achieve my goals.
Micaylah - 11/14/2018
I enjoy being a member here. Everyone is very close and friendly. The classes are usually very personal and proper instruction is given. Cultural groups are present and during holidays are very expressive. It's an interesting little college but it is one that makes all feel welcome.
Haley - 08/13/2018
This college is good for those who are going to school with a goal in mind and are set on achieving it. It's a great community college and allows those who couldn't afford bigger schools to get an education. I am grateful for it in allowing me to work towards my degree.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for San Juan College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to go to school sooner. I waited eight years to return to school, and after my first semester I learned what I was missing. Although, I am glad I did wait and experience what I exerienced; yet, if I had the chance I would indeed encourage myself to go sooner. The whole college experience is a crutial part of the comming of age for our youth. We learn how to grow and intergrate into society. We learn how to balance our check books and to budget our lives. Making life long friendships.
Everyone of all ages, which they do have in this school. I found this school to have a great attitude, with teachers who think outside of the box and who want their students to succeed in not only school but in life aswell.
The best thing about my school is the great community support it has for the students. We have free tutoring in all subjects, free counseling and advisors are always available. Student Senate who works round the clock for the students. All the teachers are committed to every student success.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The layout of the campus is both beautiful and easy to manuever. There is no "intimidation factor" associated with San Juan College, which is a big confidence boost.
My classmates are of diverse culture and ranging from 18 years old to late 50's; usually the classes are a mixture and brings balance to the classroom in opinions and answers.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about this school is the directions the buildings give you. Another one is when you ask a person (admissions) a question, they get frustrated and send you to another person.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
I get frustrated that I don't have classes that I learn a great amount of satisfaction from my classes. I want to go to bigger and better places and universities.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
Music students have to attend 3 master classes for vocal class. Every student goes and sings in front of everyone. I had to do this myself and quiet a lot of people went. It was scary but in a way I like stepping out of my comfort zone.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
The classes I have attended by the fourth week its obvious which student will succeed. Some students make up excuses for late work or not turning in their assignments when due. The students by fourth week that do their work are their to learn. So I guess it just depends. Their is half and half. Some students are going to earn their degree and some students go and just don't know why they are in college.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
82% of students attending San Juan College receive some sort of financial aid.
60% were awarded federal grants.6%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
