I enjoy attending classes at COD very much. The campus is very large, and is also really really beautiful. The grounds crew and facilities crew do an amazing job of keeping the buildings clean and in good working order. The campus feels extremely safe, and security patrols regularly. There is a massive student body of around 25,000+ students, and the campus is really large to accommodate. All of my professors have been extremely helpful, and they want the students to succeed. Because of this, they are almost always available to answer questions before, during, and after class, and during office hours. My experience at College of Dupage has been excellent, and being a community college, is extremely affordable.

Despite being a community college, the College of DuPage is an amazing institution that many should take advantage of. COD has amazing faculty who are always willing to help out in times of need, whether you need help with classes, getting your grades up, or financial aid, they have it all. They have a vast amount of clubs, so nobody is left out, and they can easily make friends.

College of DuPage has treated me very well. In the time that I attended, I was able to secure an amazing job as a student that allowed me to do my homework and work at the same time. The professors really believe in what you want to do. The work you put in is what you will get in return. There are no tricks there are no secrets. I have met a lot of good people at this school. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to go to school there.

College of Dupage is a marvelous school for academics. I initially started at a university however the cost to attend was too much for me therefore I went to College of Dupage. I am learning the same curriculum I would be at a university plus I am getting tons of support from everyone around me. I would highly recommend for anyone that wants to pursue their education to join COD. Professors are educated on their professions are here to help and pass on their knowledge. No one would feel left out on this campus due to the idea of unity and intellectual support. The cost is fair and easy to equip as well therefore it does not cause any more stress on a student.

I transferred into and out of this college and I have to say while some people really try to help you it is a struggle to transfer and their rates can speak of it. I am a quite determined person and was misguided several times costing me money and time by councilor services. Some of the teachers are the most amazing people on the planet always willing to go out of their way to help you, while others will do everything but. If you go here or are planning to go here all I have to say is cover your bases, you are in this race yourself. The work that one has to put in to have the possibility to transfer is immense, especially if it isn't a school or major College of DuPage isn't directly partnered with. The school can help and has sympathetic people but the students aren't sociable and the moral is quite low. It is an in-between. My recommendation for the school is to put more focus in helping it's students transfer, I had to go above and beyond to get the opportunity and I would say I am a quite accelerated student. The school has a load of potential currently being wasted on just poor communication and research.

College is affordable compared to other schools. This is my first year in college-doing remote learning. My teachers haven't been responding to my emails quickly. I appreciate how the staff has been helpful regarding financial aid and other questions we have about the school and the opportunities there.

DuPage is a really welcoming and relaxing college for starting a student journey through the whole college experience. Community colleges are a great way for students to save money and also receive a quality education. I believe that the College of DuPage is a great place for people to attend. They have plenty of student involvement and clubs, but also has a diverse student population. Not to mention that the class sizes are great, around 25 students, and the professors really care about the students. Being able to stop by office hours any time and talking with them is something that I hope I can still do when I transfer to a university.

My school is honestly really great academic wise. they have a lot of resources for students like free tutoring and the teachers give office hours where you can pop in and ask a few question here and there. The activities and fairs we have at school are pretty school. the students and the atmosphere is super nice. I just wish our athletics were little more organized

A fresh feel, open environment, critical for learning. There are a lot of places for you to take a study break, wait for your next class to start, or simply just hang out with some friends. As far as the campus accessibility, the main campus is pretty open and all buildings are connected to one another for the most part so in the cold months it's easy to get around to all your classes.

College of Dupage is a good school if your in district, however if your out of district be prepared to spend an arm and a leg. Advising and counseling leaves a lot to be desired don't expect them to know everything and to help you prepare for your future. Ask questions for everything because if you don't you could be out of luck. The teachers here are a mixed bag you have those that want to help you succeed and those who are just there for the paycheck and nothing more. Financial aid is prorated which you have to do your research to find out because they won't tell you till your left wondering why your stuck with a bill. Overall its a nice, safe and beautiful school but it leaves a lot to be desired.

It's a great community college option for students looking to save money and still get a quality education. So far in my freshman year I've had great teachers who actually care about teaching the material and making sure you're learning. The food is great too. I recommend the bagels!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Too often we let our duties slip past our present focus. Girlfriends, sports, and hobbies will always reward us with satisfaction, whether it is deep love, or succesful outcome of a challenge. Yet time moves on duling our sharp sense of achievement, along with our memories, into slight grooves on our timelines. Some grooves however, are so strong, carved in the bone of our heads, writen on our foreheads, its the feeling of knowledge, the lack of confusion. It is the ultimite sharpening stone when a subject well known is brought before one self, leaving one feel like a sharp, solid knife. In school it is more important that anything to start with an over-achieving attitude, and maybe let it drop just a tiny bit, to put you right on the edge of excellence.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I feel that because it is a junior college, that no one is assigned a counselor, therefore you constantly must talk with someone that is not familarized with your situation. Also the financial aid office is run by young adults, or the students that are there as well which is frustrating because they only read what they know from a computer or packet; which in the long run does not help me out that much.
My classmates at COD come from all walks of life: I have taken an experiential speech class 18-67 year olds, my music stand partner in band is married with kids, and I have sat around between classes playing drums with students from South Africa, Egypt, and Japan.
Attending a community college, chances are you live locally, so you can experience what the college experience is like without going to far from home or paying thousands of dollars more at a four year school. You can get your associates or just do gen ed studies and transfer. If you then graduate from a four year school, employers have no way of knowing you attended community college. And being at one of the best community colleges in the country, you get a good education for a decent price, and a leg up on other applicants to four year schools.
The College of DuPage provides a high-level education for a fraction of the cost compared to other universities. Students who are looking to get a head start without breaking their bank accounts should attend COD. DuPage is a starting point for young adults or older adults who may have suspended their education or are looking to boost their resumes. Students who are looking to make good friends, experience campus life, gain work experience, and have a positive learning environment must attend the College of Dupage. In closing, students with determination, hard-work ethic, and perseverance should attend this college.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
A student that should not attend this school is someone that wants to get the campus life. By campus life I mean living in the dorms with roommates and all the good and bad that comes with it.
