Cornerstone University is a Christ-centered university with a great community that is created both my the faculty, staff, and students. Community is central to our faith as we grow in knowledge of the Lord. Our programs are evolving as we build our nursing program, online classes, and downsizing our humanities division (which is not supported by me and my friends). Our size as a school is small and its the way we like it here at cornerstone. Small numbers where everyone almost knows everyone and community is created with Christ as the center. Our core classes, as we are a liberal arts university, is evolving and I hope is improved for some of the required classes most of our students do not want to take; therefore, they do not get the most out of the teachings. Overall I love cornerstone even though some of the cafeteria meals can be 3 out of 5 rating.

Cornerstone University set the bar high in my opinion for colleges. My professors and cohorts have always been encouraging, helpful, and kind. This university is faith-based and the curriculum directly reflects these beliefs. What a breath of fresh air! Attending this college online is incredibly simple as they mail you any books or materials you may need. The adult program is one class at a time for approximately 5 weeks. It’s perfect for full time working students. I highly recommend Cornerstone University!!

While no university is perfect by everyone's standards, I can say this university strives to create a great, safe learning atmosphere that is sensitive to students' needs. All my professors have gone above and beyond what is expected of them to be responsive to me as a student, and as a person. Highly recommended school!

I think it is a good school. Christians should consider going and visiting the school. Overall, there are very nice staff, faculty and students. There is a passion of Jesus Christ from the people who go there. It is a nice small community that is loving and inviting to everyone.

Great University. The environment is great and Academics overall are good. The professors are great and deeply involved in the life of the students and care for them. The international community is also very accepting, including and loving as well. The admissions team is extremely good.

Cornerstone is a community full of people who are seeking God, the community fosters a love for Christ. The class sizes are quite small which I love since it allows the classes to feel much more personal. Everyone here is so friendly and it really does feel like home.

Cornerstone University is an incredible college with an unmatched passion for Christ and a beautiful community. The campus is very open, has a great deal of walking space, and has plenty of places to relax outside on a nice day. The people in Cornerstone's community are incredibly kind-hearted, and the professors are always willing to help you out with anything you need at any time. Cornerstone also offers plenty of opportunities to cut the college cost as much as possible for their students, and simply getting accepted can get you up to $11,000 annually from them! Overall I believe that Cornerstone is a wonderful and prodigious college in which I can't wait to spend my postsecondary years!

I like it. I think the professors are really friendly and available. The atmosphere is really good and safe. It’s location is right by a good city. The facilities are available for use most of the time. The school could however improve on their food and scholarships especially for international students.

I consider Cornerstone University to be the perfect environment for students. In fact, it's rated as one of the safest places in America and its overall culture deters the usage of drugs and alcohol. Everyone I had the privilege of meeting was extremely friendly, from the students at lunch to the President during a mom-requested picture. While Cornerstone is a smaller university, which allows you to have the opportunity to personally interact with your professors, this fact also allows them to be flexible and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the world. Cornerstone University is where I want to accelerate my future.

Cornerstone University is a warm, welcoming college. I felt welcomed upon my first visit, and like love at first sight, I’ve been committed ever since! I will be attending come 2018 Fall semester as a 1st year undergrad! The campus is beautiful! The staff and faculty are always prepared to serve you, no matter what the problem may be, whether educational or personal; they develop personal relationships with their students, which makes it a lot easier to enjoy the learning experience at Cornerstone!

It is a good school. It is a conservative Christian school, and most of the students and professors are fairly conservative with their beliefs, though some fall outside that camp. There is a general Christian atmosphere, regular church attendance is expected, and chapel attendance is required. Classes are interesting, especially the higher level classes, and intellectual conversation are found both in and out the classroom. Good food, including warm chocolate chip cookies on Fridays.

Cornerstone is a solid small conservative Christian university that is very christ centered. The people are the best part of the school as most of the students and faculty are very friendly. Profs are willing work with students who come to them. Also free tutors is a big plus

I think that it is a great school that has a great community with a great campus. The people are very nice and will help you with anything you need. The sporting facilities are very nice and we have great sports teams with a good attendance at big games for every sport.

Cornerstone University is a relatively small campus that has many opportunities for Learning and Sports. Although right in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, it's a nice, safe- feeling atmosphere. There are many places very close to either shop or get groceries. you could even find a job close by, but there are also jobs offered on campus that work well around your schedule. The students are very inviting and nice. the class sizes are small; the one I watched had approximately 12 to 15 students. The food is tasty and they always have a couple different options for those who might not like it or are gluten free. They also always have ice cream and some kind of dessert. There are open dorms during certain times of the year, but boys and girls are always in different buildings. Each dorm room holds three people, but I think it would be more comfortable if they each only held two. Cornerstone is and uplifting College that you are able to talk freely about your Christian faith. There are also many different sports that people may be interested in playing or doing. I think Cornerstone University is a nice comfortable College that would be a good place to go for my college years. I love that alcohol, swearing, and obviously drugs are not going to be something I see on a daily basis. I love that you can know that others around you have some of the same beliefs and morals you do. Overall, it's a nice college that I will most likely be a attending.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself not to push myself so hard my freshman year. College really is different than High school and it takes time to make the adjustment. You can't skate through classes and still expect A's.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
What I would consider the worst thing about my school is how long our winter break is. I live with more than two hundred people in my dorm, and now I am back with just my family. It may sound silly but that is the only thing I do not like about my school. I loved my classes and my friends at Cornerstone. I cannot wait for my new classes to start and try my best. Most people can?t wait for break, but most of us are begging to go back home, to Cornerstone!
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Cornerstone University is a lively university that offers a lot fantastic activities, has an amazing faculty, a president that truly cares about the students, and a great Christian community, along with great classes that get the student involved.
I would say the best thing about my school would be the religious foundation it really helps you build for the future. They make it easy to get used to and really make it feel they dont force Chapels or any event on you.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
If I could speak to my high school self, I would tell myself to enjoy the process more. Life just kinda falls into place, so you plan the best you can, but you also can't worry when things don't work out how they were "supposed to." A change in priorities or direction is not a bad thing. In fact, it can sometimes be a door opening to something you never could have imagined. Had it not been for "interruptions" in my plan, I would not be as strong or insiteful as I am today.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The professors are extremely interested in their students's lives. I never feel like they're there just because it's a job. They are there for students to help them if they need it, and they really want to help them be the best people they can be.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
If the person isn't a Christian and doesn't desire to have a relationship with God. Also, if the person is someone that likes to party and drink a lot then Cornerstone isn't a school for them.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
As a student attendig Cornerstone University the most frustrating thing is at the through out the day we learn so much about the field of study we are going into but we are aslo learning so much about God and Jesus Christ. When these two fields of interest get compiled into our brains all in one day it sometimes seems impossible to comprehend all the material at one time. Having such an astounding environment helps tremendously to balance the overload of such powerful and useful information.Ultimatley, it is up to the student to find the balance between the two.

The unique aspect about my school is that it's Christian college that is central around Jesus Christ. It also is a bigger version of the high school I attended: Eastbrook Academy.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
