Bringing together a rigorous academic program, a very diverse student body, and a picturesque waterfront campus, here are features that truly distinguish CUNY Kingsborough Community College from most of its peer institutions:
1- There are a wide variety of associate degree and certificate programs in liberal arts, business, health sciences, and STEM. Students highly respect KBCC for the friendly treatment from staff members for students' success and achievements made in academics.
2- The college has an enormous bank of services focused on making its students successful, such as tutoring, career counseling, and academic advising, with the help of financial aid assistance. All these resources are tailored in such a way that a student will be rightly oriented on the track toward his or her educational goals with proper advice and support.
3- With the diverse student population, KBCC is on a far better position to enhance its exposure towards enlightenment on other perspectives and cultures. This creates a friendly atmosphere for studying and learning, giving ample space and opportunities for the blooming of students from different backgrounds.
4- With a 70-acre campus with views of Sheepshead Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, the landscape is most picturesque around KBCC. It charges activities around the study location with the creativity, peace, and inspiration of the campus.
5- Many students use KBCC as a ladder through which they transfer to further education institutions. The college has several articulation agreements with four-year institutions that help students easily transfer and continue their studies.
6- Community service programs are legion at KBCC, and hundreds of students participate each semester in in-service programs that benefit both students and residents. Hence, this creates an atmosphere of social responsibility and brings about a greater level of civic awareness among the students.
Therefore, on the whole, CUNY Kingsborough Community College is one of the best colleges that offer its students the best quality education along with community engagement and personal and academic growth.

Run. This school is a total joke. The administration is impossible to deal with and gets not even the most basic requests handled. If you manage to deal with that BS and actually start classes you’ll be shocked by the horrible professors and education quality. The majority of the students in classes here were ESL and could hardly make sentences. Even the native English speakers were writing with no punctuation. It was like being in 2nd grade- maybe worse. They clearly let anyone in here and the classes did not seem like college level at all. The professors offer little online interaction or feedback so you are basically paying to teach yourself while dealing with moron students in discussion rooms. If you are seeking a good education this is not the school to get it. Avoid at all costs.

KBCC is a small community college next to a beach in Coney Island, New York. In all honesty there really is no college spirit at all and this is to no blame of the faculty or students. Because this is a two year college what I feel like happens is students really just come in and get out, there isn't time for engagement. Many of the students are older and probably working to support family so they are part time. Faculty and staff are very accommodating, although there is always the occasional bad apple. Everyone knows that KBCC staff are generally helpful especially in the Financial Aid department. Of Course there are clubs and opportunities but most students don't really end up joining because unless they have a friend group that is a part of it. There are more groups of students, while I don't want to say clique that is what it is like. Just like in highschool there will be the same groups of students being loud and rowdy at the same spot while the rest of the students are scattered around loosely. KBCC is in a very safe location, it's in a high end residential area, the residents are retired couples or small families. If you are looking for an engaging, spirit full college and campus experience KBCC unfortunately will not be the place for you, however if you just want to get your credits in a relaxed and supportive community while also taking in the beautiful beachfront views you have found your place.

My name is Camry Frederick and I am currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Kingsborough Community College, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science. Being an international student I chose KBCC because I wanted to experience a culture that was almost completely removed from my own. Seeing that the world is becoming one global marketplace, I wanted to expand my network beyond regional borders and Kingsborough Community College has brought me one step closer to my dream. The culture and diversity at Kingsborough Community College is great Students and staff are extremely friendly and supportive.

Its a good school, very easy going professors and approachable . Lots of opportunities and sources for the students . So many programs you can join. When meeting with an advisor you get all your questions answered and advice towards your degree. Its a bit far in commuting there everyday but otherwise a good choice I'm glad I am here. Needless to say there is an ocean view !:)

Kingsborough Community College needs to be more accessible because it is hard to get too, the building needs to be updated because some parts are looking run down. I feel that the college needs more professional staff and events such as graduation and that should be more professionally put together as well. Overall my experience at the college was a horror story up until the very last day.

The child care center is the most racist daycare center in Brooklyn. My son is 3 years old he had one bad day and they had 3 armed cops surrounding him like a criminal. He's has learning disabilities and it's a challenge for him. But instead of understanding that they label my 3 year old a criminal. I'm filling a lawsuit against them for racial discrimination

I love this school. the class size is relatively small. all your teachers will know you by the end of the first two weeks. and the school is on Manhattan Beach. so you can sit in class while enjoying the ocean view through the window. although some students might find it distracting, it is not. the teachers are all energetic that you won't even feel bored to the point of looking out at the window. the only hindrance is they don't have on campus housing. but overall it is a great school to go to. they help you adjust to college life easily.

Kingsborough community college has given me so much opportunity. I'm forever thankful for all of the programs and classes I have been a part of. College is absolutely what you make of it and you have to take advantage of everything you can to achieve your goals!

Many great opportunities here in the campus. Professors here want us as students to succeed in life so they encourage us to keep working hard. The food is delicious and it's very cheap. Many great school events that I attended recently and the staff are extremely kind.

Its a pretty good school, if you have gone to school in brooklyn be prepared to see a lot of old classmates. Everyone seems to be about their own business but there are a few cliques here in there in the cafeteria. One thing I personally love about Kingsborough is the diversity.
Meca
So far, Kingsborough is a calm environment. There are plenty of academic groups that keep students active in school and campus activities, which is great. As for clubs and sports, they seem to be okay; but I don't know much of. The professors are nice and some would stay behind after classes to help you on whatever it is you need help on.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for CUNY Kingsborough Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If i can go back to my senior year in high school, the first thing I would advice myself to do is ask myself if I am ready for a college commitment. After all the horrible things that happened in my senior year, I made the mistake by jumping into college without being prepared and I was forced to drop out. I did return to college the following semester. I would also advice myself not to take classes before 1pm because I am not a morning person. College is very different from high school. I should also advice myself that studying the day before an exam, like i did in high school is not the best idea for a college midterm. I would let myself know that college is fun, and very nice because you get a lot of independance, but it requires a lot of dedication.
My classmates are serious and independent people who are generous in helping others in getting through the class because they understand the difficulty when working alone and have nobody who can help you.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing in my school is that we don't get enough advisement that would help us trigger our sense where we would discovery which major would fit us the best and the different kind of occupations that are out there where we have the ability to become.
As a person walks through the halls of KBCC anyone can see the variety of people that pass them by. A large range of people attend my school from the over ambitious to the person floating through the two years waiting for their future to hit them in the face to pretty much anything in between.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Kingsborough community college is a very big college that really helps its students, it's open to everyone who wishes to continue and accomplish there goals.
The best thing is that the professors really love and are passionate about what they teach. Each professor has such a personlaity that shows they would'nt want to be doing anything else.
