Dallas County Community College District

Dallas college provides students with a plethora of opportunities. For a community college it is very inclusive and does provide a good sense of community by regularly holding events to help boost student engagement. As a dual credit student I find that Dallas College really gives students a good introduction into college life if wanting to pursue higher education while also still giving quality classes for reasonable prices.

It is a place where I feel very free and safe. There are several spaces where I can do homework or simply hang out on campus. The people are calm, and the teachers are always kind and willing to help with anything I need. I appreciate the many support services available, such as the tutoring center. There is also a pantry where we can get free snacks or food for the week. Additionally, there are food stores, and the library always provides a quiet environment for studying. What I enjoy most about being here, beyond the sense of tranquility it gives me, is that the art rooms are open at certain times, providing me with a studio where I can draw whenever I need it. The only thing I dislike is that there aren’t many fast-food options on campus. It could use a bit more variety in that area. Other than that, I truly love studying here. Sometimes, I even feel more comfortable doing homework on campus than at home. It is a place where I feel very free and safe. Dallas County Community College District is a good school to attend when seeking an associate's degree. The professors are very aware of their email and are always there to help. The classes do require hard work but that helps in the long run. Attending DCCCD has allowed me to work on my time management skills and to get a feeling of what college life will be like.

I have loved my time at dallas county community colleges. It is such a great experience for the very low tuition. I probably would not have gone to college without being able to start and Dallas county community college. It is such a great way to start your way into college.

You get out the education that put forth effort into. Most professors are quite accessible, whether it’s through their office hours, email, or phone. Most of my professors have been quite encouraging. I’ve had a few professors who were stern or had a teaching style that I wasn’t accustomed to but it didn’t ruin my experience here.

In my experience, this school wants to see you succeed whether it be from the advisors to the professors. I truly appreciate their help here, it's all about seeing the right people.

There are multiple colleges inside the Dallas County Community College District and all have their own pros and cons like any other campus. My time there was enjoyable and definitely saved me a lot of money as I earned many credits towards my undergraduate degree before transferring to a 4-year university. Had I the option to do it again, I definitely would so, but maybe a different campus from my initial one, just to have the feel of a larger campus and a little more to choose from, from the area surrounding it.

I'm really glad that I decided to go to this college. They offer so many different degree plans, and always have events going on around campus. The only problem I have with my campus is that there is no parking provided, however they do give out bus passes if you are a fulltime student. Overall it's a really good campus and district, for just basics or for your full degree.

I believe that community college is an excellent way to save money before you transfer or jut want some basic credentials to get started in life. But do not come here expecting a cinematic college experience by any means. You are basically in high school for another 2 years. Specifically, Northlake Community College exist to drain and disillusion you from any socializing you might have wanted to do.

I believe there are definitely a lot of opportunities available for everyone. I also like how they cater to both residential students and online students. One thing I would suggest is that some staff are more clear when explaining things to incoming students.

Dallas County Community College District consist of several different schools in or around Dallas. You can take classes in person as well as online. The campuses are so huge, you would think you were attending a University and not just a community college. The professors are extremely helpful in and out of class. I enjoyed attending DCCCD, it really fit into my schedule and allowed me to complete my associates degree in less than 2 years.
