It's really wonderful for getting your base classes down. The tuition is beyond reasonable and there are many opportunities for scholarships and financial aid. The people in the office help with anything from free counseling sessions to personalized abroad opportunities. I mostly did online classes so I can't speak super highly of the facilities but they had a lot of resources and a relaxed atmosphere. The dean and higher-ups are very conscious about the political climate and events in the area especially in regards to race, which I really appreciate. There are so many opportunities here and I really recommend it to anyone wanting to save some money on university. The only thing is, since it's a community college, you can only receive an Associate's here. You will need to look for further education if you want anything past that. Please considering going here if you live close. My experience has been very smooth and full of learning.

It's a good place to get a university education at a community college price. Most of the instructors work at other nearby universities as well.

Delta is a really good place to go to school, especially if you aren't sure what you want to do yet. They have a lot of classes and they have a lot of options for them (morning, day, night, online, etc.). The professors are great. Every one I've had knows what they're talking about and they bring that into the classroom. They're also incredibly kind people. My experience at Delta thus far has been great, and I'm sad to leave.

Delta College is a great community school to attend. The small class sizes are great for one on one time with the professor when it is needed. The amount of classes offered is incredible seeing as Delta is a community college. The school has a great atmosphere and the staff is always happy to help.

Since I am a current dual enrollment student of Delta, I feel that it is a very good college so far. I have taken 4 classes, 2 online and 2 on campus, and they were great. The professors are great teachers and make learning fun. I feel that sports aren't really too important at the schools but I do really like that. Everyone is very helpful and kind. There is no housing on campus but, it is convenient because it is close to my house. It's only a 15-minute drive!

Delta College is a great community college for students looking for a cheaper alternative to an expensive 4 year institute. The class sizes are equal to a smaller high school class; so you can get a great one on one time with your professor. The professors truly do seem like they care about each student and want to take the time to get to know everyone’s name and what they are studying. The homework load is not as hard as most universities, depending on your major. Delta College is a great college for every student that just wants to get a degree but are scared of big schools, or simply do not have the money to attend a four year university. The school is kept clean and there are multiple options to get a quick bite to eat or a coffee before an early class. One of my favorite things is that are are places where I can go and quietly do my homework and study or just relax before my next class. Delta athletics are also top in our area. If you are looking to play a sport for a community college, Delta is the place to go. Over the years their athletics have proven to be the best among other colleges by winning championships and much more. Overall, Delta College is a great community college for students who want to save money, transfer, get a two year education or to come back to college as a parent looking to finally get that degree.

I attended Delta College full-time for three years and found the experience to be very satisfying both educationally and socially. The professors I’ve had were always willing to help even outside of class hours. I have not only made friends with fellow peers, but also with some of the professors, whom are like mentors to me as I continue my educational journey.
When you are not in class, you can find yourself participating in the many campus clubs, opportunities, and activities provided. There are programs and articulations you can follow with other schools and universities so you know that your credits will transfer when you move on.
With small class sizes, opportunities and involvement for all majors, and a safe place to learn and gain connections, Delta is a great place to start when pursuing higher education!

It’s a good college. The professors help me when they can. They also have tutoring for when students need extra help. They also have a gym if you need to work out or if you take a fitness class. In the library, if you need to do studying, they have a side of the library where you can study and work on homework.

Delta College is a quality community college. While there is little of a campus social life, the small class sizes allow you to make friendships and form relationships with a very educated staff.

I think Delta college is a great school where you can learn and get a better understanding of what is expected of you when you take that next step in your future career. Delta college even though it's not that big of a university, they still have the same qualifications and magnificent professors who are there to help you and give you a better understanding of what is going on
Christopher - 02/20/2019
My overall opinion of delta college is that you always feel welcomed when you come here. There’s never a chance that you will never feel welcomed on this campus. The faculty and staff are very nice and want the students to do their best. The classes are small which makes the ability to know everyone and get more one on one time with the professor. This campus makes other schools seem to be overwhelming in a way.

It's a very good school for a community college, very affordable and yet successful in its intent to teach students. And the community is very positive, helpful, and encouraging to each other. The facilities are average, but again, it's a community college.
Kelsey - 01/06/2019
I think Delta is a great starting point for any student, no matter what they plan on transferring into. Delta is a great head-start when you want to earn cheap credits, or if you don't know what you want to go to school for yet. There is plenty of faculty assistance and great teachers to help students at every step.

Delta College is a great school for individuals working on their prerequisites towards their associates and higher education requirements. Delta College allows high school students as early as their sophomore year to dual-enroll and advance in their field of choice in the workplace environment. Not only does this college accept transfer students, but they also guide those who wish to transfer towards the best route fit for that specific student.

What a great experience! Small class sizes and professors that really care. The professors we're always ready to meet with me and discuss anything. I met with them multiple times and they were always happy to help me understand difficult could concepts. I learned so much and made great friends here. Would do it all over again.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Delta College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Relax! That would be the first thing I would tell myself. Make sure you find the college you want to go to and apply for scholarship, but most importantly enjoy your senior year. Make the most of the time you have with your friends. Don't take life so serious or yourself so serious. There will be plenty of time to be serious but for now enjoy these moments, trust me, you will miss them. It is ok to laugh and make simple mistakes, thats how you grow. Do not be so afraid to try new things because if you don't you will never know what you like. In those moments you find out who you are and if you know who you are, you will stand for what you are. So breath, soak up this time because you will only be a high school senior once.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about Delta is that it doesn't have alot of the classes I need for my degree. The class offered in my degree is for a person who wants to work under an architect and I want to be an architect.
I would place a wide variety of students at Delta College. Delta College has the lowest tuition rates in the area, and for students just trying to get their general education courses completed Delta is the place to start out. Of course for students who don't know what to take yet also can explore their options and know that they won't be paying extra for courses they don't need. Delta also provides the opportunity, to lower incomed students, to seek out and complete their dreams...gives the chance to succeed in today's economy.
The academies here at Delta, as far as I know because I have not been in one yet, are organized and easy to learn about. If you have questions about them there is someone who will know within 20 feet of you!
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
The sports clubs and teams are very popular. Like soccer, baseball, softball and basketball. At Delta we also have many different events like, popcorn day, learn something knew day, movie day, etc. Delta's teachers and students do the most they can to bring everyone together to learn more and experience new things.
Delta College is a smaller community college that is comfortable. The campus is easy to get to know and eventually (less than 1 year) you will recognize faces everyday. The classes are 25 or less people so that makes it easy to get to know everyone and make friends. The teachers are personal and they are here to help every individual learn. You are not sitting in lecture halls with 300 students where your teacher will never know your name. Here at Delta the teachers will remember you even after the semester you have their class. Delta is pronominal! I wanted to come here and I am so happy I did.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
A possible stereotype here about students may be, there are lazy people. I don't really see that to be true because everyone learns differently and ultimately it shouldn't matter how other people learn because you are here for you and if they bother you then ignore them. Some people are just more relaxed than others, not lazy.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
What I brag most about my school is the teachers. The teachers at Delta know completely about the subject they're teaching. Also, they are very helpful. All of my professors are happy to go over material I don't understand either in or out of class. Because of them I have complete and deep knowledge of all the material we cover.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
75% of students attending Delta College receive some sort of financial aid.
55% were awarded federal grants.15%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
