I believe Dordt is a place where you can not only get your education and receive the career you desire. The professors at Dordt don't see you as an eye or a number in their classroom. They want to get to know you and help you in any way they can. Dordt College is also a Christ-center education and that is something important to me. At Dordt, you can grow deeper in your faith and it shows you how to put God as your number one in your job and life. Dordt allows you to be a well-rounded person and shows you how to put God first in your career.

Dordt is an institution that promotes learning and growing in what you believe, despite the professor's opinions. I have been able to grow tremendously in my knowledge of the subject I studied, as well as knowing who I am and what I believe. The professors at Dordt are amazing. Our college has been rated best in student to faculty engagement twice in a row by Forbes.

Dordt College is super welcoming and a great atmosphere filled with even better people. It feels like a home away from home. I know I can talk to the professors about anything, anytime. I also understand that a majority of the professors want to get to know me as a person instead of simply another student in the room.

Dordt College is known for it's high quality student engagement. Class sizes are small and professors know their students by name. I was very impressed with how the staff knew the students names as well. Students on campus were extremely friendly to me as a visitor and it was clear they were happy there. There were many student activities to participate in as well as intramural sports. The quality of education was impressive, a degree from Dordt college means something in the job market. Out of all the colleges I visited, Dordt exceeded all other schools in these areas.

Dordt College is a safe college campus. Located in small town Sioux Center, Iowa. One world that is very important on campus is community. The community of this campus is amazing, between seniors and freshman and everyone in between. Throughout a students time at Dordt they will be pushed out of their comfort zone, given many opportunities to serve, learn, grow, and handed some of the best experiences and internships for multiple majors.

Dordt College is an excellent place to grow intellectually and spiritually as a young Christian. The facilities are top-of-the-line, there are great clubs, and the size of the college is perfect (about 1500 students). Sioux Center, IA may be small, but Dordt College adds a lot to the community. There's a reason it is ranked #1 in the nation for Student Engagement by the Wall Street Journal.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Dordt College is 72%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
One of the most important aspect of picking the right college is to pick one that is friendly. They have to make you seem like that is where you belong and that will be fun and fulfilling to go to. If they don't make you feel accepted on your visit, they probably won't make you feel accepted when you're a student. Also, pick a college that is comfortable to be at, whether it be distance-wise, religious-wise or any other factor, there needs to be a connection between the student and the goals and community of the college. Overall, you shouldn't pick a college that you feel forced to attend, even after you've been there for an extended period of time.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
There is not a whole lot of diversity here, people do not get a very real world experience by coming here. Its more of a happy-go-lucky little Dutch Reformed college that is rather sheltering.
The best thing about Dordt is the community. You will get to know many people from all classes. Everyone says hi when walking around campus. Dordt is located in a small, farming area and that helps the students to get to know others outside campus through church and various events. On and off campus, I feel comfortable and like I am at home.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
Because of its small size, classes are not always offered every semester or at more than one time slot, so it can be hard to fit in all the classes you need.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
