If it's 2am on Tuesday, I'm just leaving AJ's (a sports bar with a crazy 80's night) and going next door to pick up Guthrie's fried chicken.
FSU also has the (I believe) biggest movie theatre where they play new releases and old favorites.

I met my closest friends living in the dorm freshman year
Caroline
I go out usually tuesday night, thursday night and all through the weekend. I met my closest friends at FSU through tri-delt.

Greek life is an important part of campus life, it's nice to be apart of something that defines who you are on such a large campus.

Greek Life is HUGE here at FSU. Basically being in a sorority or fraternity will make or break your experience at florida state. RUSH is very competitive for girls and boys. Greek life is AMAZING, period. If I'm awake on a Tuesday night at 2 am I know exactly where I would be. I'd be either leaving Potbellys from a great night of dancing and listening to live music with almost all of my sorority sisters & fellow greeks (and the few GDI's who learn to love pots). Potbelly's closes at 2 am so usually I either head over to Phi Sig (frat house right across the street) to hang out with a bunch of my guy-friends, or I'm on my way to the Diner in the "Safe Bus". The Diner is probably one of the most addicting places you will go here at FSU. Whenever we're looking for some late night food binges, we call the SAFEbus (free cab service for FSU students on campus) and head over to the Diner and put on a few of those freshman 15 lbs ;) Frats and Sororities overall help SO much with the transition into College and being on your own. I honestly know more people than I can even count...and there is NO way I would have known all these amazing people if I wasn't in Greek life.

Some students that live in dorms leave their dorms, but it is not very safe to me.
My closest friends are my roommate that I work with and my tridelt friends
I go out like 2 times a week or less, depending on projects

The atmosphere is so friendly. People are always networking through organizations and through Facebook so people always know what there is to do on campus or how to go about meeting new people.
Laura
There's no way to not be social at FSU because the people are so friendly and I feel like everyone is involved. Even when you go to the grocery stores like Publix or Target, all the employees that work there, are students at FSU. So it's hard to not run into somebody that's in your class or that is just a face you always see on campus.

the most popular organizations are social fraternities and sororities. i am not involved in those, however i am in a professional business fraternity called alpha kappa psi. i met my closest friends through that organization and they are pretty much my only friends since i dont really have opportunities to meet other people from other social groups (meaning i dont really hang out with people from my classes and i dont work either so i cant meet people that way).
Lauren
i do not know which group is most popular but I am in Alpha Kappa Psi- the professional business fraternity. i lived in the dorms my freshman year and i hated it because there is no personal space for yourself. we did not leave the doors open because it is not safe. dating is whatever i personally have not found my dream guy because most guys want one thing or they just don't want a relationship all together. at 2am on a Tuesday I am probably watching TV with my dog. people party a lot i don't personally but we are known for partying. besides drinking i go out to dinner with friends or go to a movie.
