It’s not a bad school it’s just very small and clustered you’ll get tired of it fast. The people aren’t bad either you just have to choose who you hang around. The sports are supportive. Some teachers are very nice and understanding some aren’t. Overall you’re there to get your degree so it isn’t all together the worst school.

I love Fontbonne University. There are a lot of pros of a small campus. I love that the class sizes are small and that my professors are always available to help. Some even provide weekend tutoring for those of us who need extra practice. Small campuses feel safer and is a blessing in the winter or on rainy days because you are not stuck walking outside for too long. There are of course a few cons to a small campus and that is that there are not a lot of food options on campus and not a lot of clubs and activities that you can participate in, but Fontbonne University has a very small campus so it makes sense that there are not too many options. Although there are not too many food options on campus, there are a lot of fast food restaurants a few minute drive away and a Walgreens just down the street.

The staff and teachers are wonderful

It is very expensive and it does not cater to the working class. When I first attended everyone was equal and now not so user friendly. The staff however on the other hand from the instructors to the office staff are the best I have come in contact with, for example I can call the business office and ask a question that is really meant for student services and they will direct me to who I need to speak with and then will give me a follow up call just to make sure I received the information that I requested.

The art department is like a glorified community college. The facilities are minimal at best and as a grad student you just repeat the same undergrad classes over and over. If you want to make figure drawings than this is the school for you. Why so many past middle aged women? Your over 55 what will you do with an MFA?

It's a small campus that is just perfect for me. It's not that far away from home and I feel that I will really enjoy going there next year. The campus is less than 30 minutes from downtown St.Louis and is even closer to things such as the mall and places to go have fun with friends. One thing that was shocking is that the campus is right next to Washington University. The admissions counselor is extremely helpful and is always willing to answer calls. If he misses them he always calls back to make sure I get my questions answered.

I really like Fontbonne. It’s an older school, so it has a lot of character and charm. The class sizes are small, so it’s easy to communicate with the professors regularly. I play baseball there, so it’s always a grind. It’s a nice little community in a great neighborhood. The students here are passionate about their studies. I feel like I’m a part of a community that is making an impact.

I love Fontbonne Univerisity! The faculty and staff are dedicated to helping their students succeed. The class sizes are small, so you are able to have more one on one time with them. There are a lot of activities, events, and clubs students can join! One thing I dislike is the lack of diversity on the campus.

Fontbonne is an inclusive university. We have students from all around the world and there are plenty of opportunities to learn about every one. Freshman orientation is the biggest opportunity to do so. Our teachers are the most readily available teachers I have ever meet. They work to make sure we do well and understand the subject matter they teach. There are many different clubs around school so that every kind of person can find the people that enjoy the same things they do. The facilities Fontbonne have are not the nicest but the people you meet and the activities you do outside of school easily makeup for that fact. Fontbonne is a loving community that supports all of its students and is overall a great school to attend.

I think Fontbonne University is a quality school that can provide an individual with a quality degree. The class sizes are very small and very engaging. The only downside to Fontbonne is how small the campus is and the poor quality food, housing, and it's quite expensive.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Fontbonne University is 89%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
First of all, have a great time! Enjoy every minute of the college life because, no matter how often you tell yourself that you're going to be in school forever, your really not going to be and, believe it or not, you'll miss it when its gone.
Secondly, take a break every once in while. Whenever you need to, just stop and take a breath. Trying to do too much at one time is a waste of everyone's energy. You'll end up doing whatever it is you're trying to do badly and you will have forgotten to make memories and... enjoy yourself. It can't hurt anything to just breathe for a second.
Finally, I would tell myself to be prepared for things not to always go my way. Its a nice thought to set goals and dreams of doing things your own way but your list of "to do's" doesn't always match up with everyone else's. So stay focused on your goals but be flexible and don't freak out if something doesn't go exactly how you planned. That's how life is. =)
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The school has a very prestigious Speech and Language Pathology major and a good reputation with the graduate school in that field. Students who make it through the program and into the graduate program have their choice of a lot of different job oppurtunities after graduation. It has it's own clinic for Speech and Language disorders where students get hands-on oppurtunities to work with actual people instead of just reading case studies. If you are interested in the program, it is the best place to be.
Students looking to be close to home and not be lost in a classroom. Work hard and make sure you seek a very supportive advisor. If you are unhappy with your advisor find another one. Some one there is really there to help youi learn.
The best thing about my school is that the student body is proactive and innovative. Everyone here thinks and solves problems at higher levels, everyone here is very driven and goal-oriented. Students are also very involved in organizations on and off campus, the majority of which are service oriented.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish that I had known more about what activities are avalible at the school. Emails are sent out that tell students about what is going on at the school , but some emails you don't get till the day of the event ,which can make it hard to get to the event. Other than that though there is nothing really that I wish I would have known. Fontbonne has never hidden anything from me and everything I was told about the school has been true.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The availability of parking spaces on campus. Sometimes causes students to be late to classes so they have to arrive early to get a spot or to catch the shuttle from off-campus parking.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The financial aid process was bit daunting. I have attended University before and the process was more streamlined than at this University. It was necessary to stay in frequent contact in order to get things completed and be kept in the loop on my status. Also a bit frustrating that if you didn't know the right questions to ask you really didn't get much guidance. Not helpful if the process is new or has changed dramatically since you last used it.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I tell my friends about the sports quite often. Fontbonne has a very distinguished sporting history and most of the teams are very good. But of course, I also talk a lot about my classes and professors. Most of them are great, which makes for very stimulating discussion during class.
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
97% of students attending Fontbonne University receive some sort of financial aid.
33% were awarded federal grants.66%received federal loans. Many students do also need to apply for additional private student loans.
