I love it! I transferred here after my freshman year at a public school and am certain I made the right choice in the move. The communities on and off campus are amazing and professors truly care about the students' wellbeing. Faith and Scripture are deeply intertwined with all we do and so is the truth and love of the gospel!

CALEB - 02/14/2020

Geneva is a great school for those looking to obtain a high quality education, while remaining in a small overall class size. Classes range between 15-30 students in most classes, which can make the learning feel more intimate. Professors are available to speak to through scheduling a meeting and are always willing to assist with any questions. Campus is very clean and easy to navigate. There is a lot that Geneva offers in clubs, sports, and arts.

Joie - 01/07/2020

Geneva College is wonderful. The professors are nice and willing to meet you outside of class. The academics are challenging and thought-provoking. The students body is made of friendly people who love to have fun and to learn. Honestly, it feels like home here.

Geneva is a great college that has a huge amount of opportunities for all of their students. The connections that are made at Geneva are unlike any others that I've made at other schools. This is a place that is filled with love and the spirit of God. Geneva College is truly a second home.

Kadin - 06/18/2019

I feel like as a college there could be improvements and the whole chapel and religious aspect could be toned down they have a very nice deild for not being an athlete geared school. Also geneva for a private college is exptremly afordable and gives out a lot of aid.

Dionna - 01/11/2019

Geneva College is a place to really thrive. Being on campus is an amazing opportunity, there is always a way to get connected with the faculty and students on campus, as well as off campus with the community of the Beaver Falls. The community that the college is located in is one that full of chances to learn. Within walking distance of the campus you can find many different types of churches. There is always something going on, on and off campus, no need to be bored.

Brandon - 03/27/2018

Geneva College is an outstanding school that provides an excellent education. Everyone shows gratitude and attends school to achieve and help others. The professors and coaches are very friendly and willing to help if needed. There are plenty of opportunities to complete your successful degree in what you study.

jonni - 02/05/2018

Overall, I love Geneva College. I love that the college is very faith based. A lot of students joke around and complain about chapel every Wednesday, but I enjoy chapel. There are many amazing and powerful messages that are spoken in chapel! One odd thing that I find most amazing about Geneva College is the structure/ layout of the college itself. The campus is a perfect size for the number of students it holds. I am completely in love with the structure of McCartney Library! The building itself is an amazing work of art. Other than the beauty of the campus, Geneva is amazing in every aspect I have ever encountered! I would definitely recommend Geneva College to anyone! Keep up the great work Geneva community!

Brady - 01/02/2018

Geneva is a great college and good for learning. I always felt welcome at Geneva and have met some amazing friends. The professors are generally very good, and the housing is rather nice as soon as you finish freshman year. I would highly recommend Geneva college to anyone searching for a healthy atmosphere and good people to be surrounded by at college.

Shila - 11/13/2017

Geneva is dedicated to giving students a Christian education. Professors and peers care for one another. Classes engage the mind and encourage critical thought through writing essays, giving presentations, taking notes, using instructional videos, and lectures. Geneva offers a variety of food plans to feed students and help them care for their bodies. The college hosts visits from prospective students as well as from post-secondary opportunities, such as seminaries. Students live on a hill, but are encouraged to venture into the valley of Beaver Falls, a small city once hailed as "little Pittsburgh" in its heyday. In Beaver Falls, students explore shops and connect to the area in which they live. Beaver Falls is a short distance away and the small town thrives off Geneva and services from and to college students. Current students and alumni can visit popular places in Beaver Falls such as a thrift store, Oram's Donuts, and Sheetz. Geneva College is a Christian college affiliated with the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA). Students learn from a Christian perspective and staff are encouraged to be members of the RPCNA, though it is not a requirement. Most classes open with prayer, and during this time students share requests to be lifted for prayer. This practice creates empathy and care among students and professors as we lift up one another before God. The Bible is viewed as a guide for all life, including academia. Christians use the Bible to navigate ethical and moral decisions they might encounter in their chosen career. However, while staff must have a profession of faith to work at Geneva, students do not. On Wednesday, academics cease and all go to chapel for worship. Students are encouraged to find a church for worship on Sunday since classes end on Friday night. Geneva seeks to encourage the Christian faith and help students harness their academic, athletic, and artistic abilities for the kingdom of God. Since Geneva views all of life as being under God's dominion, students are to engage the culture through events. Bagpiper Theater hosts plays and musicals from the college players, the college hosts cultural events and lectures (such as 'An Evening with C.S. Lewis' from actor David Payne), and students are required to attend events as part of fulfilling course requirements. Geneva has many sports teams and encourages athletics to build character and team skills. No college is perfect. Classes are rigorous and known for high academic expectations which push students. Though Geneva is a small, walkable campus, there are many hills and uneven surfaces which are difficult for disabled students. Food in the dining commons is average, neither tasteless nor five-star quality (professors and alumni will host students for home-cooked meals on occasion to remedy this). In sum, Geneva is a small college with a loving Christian community that seeks to honor God through excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. Students will graduate with expanded knowledge and life experiences. Alumni are part of the Geneva community that is ever-expanding. The college creates a loving community seeking to follow God in all areas of life.

MEREDITH - 11/09/2017

Geneva College offers a beautiful campus with recently renovated facilities, friendly and approachable faculty, and enthusiastic and motivated students. While the food is sub-par, campus is within easy driving distance of a variety of great restaurants, shops, and attractions. A quick half-hour drive from Pittsburgh provides great opportunities to attend local sports games and events when students want to explore off-campus. Overall, Geneva offers quality education from exceptional faculty members, but lacks a traditional college-town surrounding area and requires students to be creative in their off-campus weekend activities.

Aubrey - 07/22/2017

There is always room for improvement on any college campus, the education aspect is normally really great but administrators need to start looking into updating buildings and dorms, and maybe offering off campus living because we are so encouraged to be helpful towards our community. We also could use some help in the dining hall with the food, it's normally nice food but sometimes it's kinda awful to be honest. There is room for improvement but I still love Geneva's ideals and campus life.

Noelle - 04/29/2017

The first time I visited Geneva College, I knew it was the right fit! The campus is charming, has old architecture, and is very quaint. In the spring, there's colorful flowers everywhere, and in the fall, the hillside is covered in autumn leaves surrounding the big "G" on the hill. The professors there all want to see the students succeed and are willing to help you achieve all of your goals. The academics are challenging, but not too stressful. The people there are all so friendly and I have made a really great group of friends this year! Geneva College really does integrate faith and learning into all of their classes, and you can see the students and faculty living out their faith every day.

David - 12/21/2016

Geneva College has small class sizes and for the most part great professors who are always willing to help. A heavily religious school but the upper office people are more there for their money then anything else. Very much against helping students with issues such as housing even in bad situations because "everything can be worked out". In reality they just do not want to do the jobs they are paid for. The food is sometimes great and sometimes okay but lots of options for a small campus. Freshmen dorms are rather lackluster with no AC and heat varies between great and poor on any given day. The apartments for upperclassmen sound much better though. The engineering program is outstanding with great professors with lots of great connections. They are very approachable and accepting of student ideas. The campus does sponsor various events but there is certainly a lack of entertainment off campus that is within walking distance. Geneva is a great college to get an education and I heavily suggest to anyone who is looking to really learn for a year and just are not there for the so called "college experience."

Jason - 10/10/2016

Though I know it is not perfect, it has many qualities which endear me to it, the most important of these being the people. The people there are so welcoming and friendly, you would almost believe you had always lived here. Though it may not have all the most up-to-date features in its dorms, it manages to be homely in its look. Overall, a good place to be.

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Geneva College is 70%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would start saving up money. When you make the first tuition payment you learn just how quickly your savings account can be drained. I didn't have a full-time job until after I graduated from college and I really wish that I had started working sooner. Also, I would try to save money in other ways by not going out to eat or going shopping as much. The money I could have saved by doing these things really could make a difference now.
