What attracts me to Gwynedd Mercy University is their faculty and students' continuous kind and caring attitude towards potential students and their families. Upon my first time going there, the campus was quiet, and students were studying for finals. Even so, many were kind enough to direct my family and me to the building we were looking for. There have been other times when we have had issues with getting to events on time, and they have still extended the chance for me to get the most out of that event while staff still constantly checked in and made sure things were running smoothly.
My most recent attendance there was their students acceptance day. Throughout the whole tour Teachers have managed to make me feel involved. Students and staff stopped to ask if we were ok or needed help, and many were willing to answer any questions and concerns. This goes down to visiting the financial aid office and getting a proper break down on my letter and who to inquire about other questions they couldn't currently answer.
I felt, and my family too, that this school sticks to their core values of integrity, respect, service, and social justice very well and make sure they are also instilling it into those entering their community. This interested me, seeing a school that is able to cultivate all of these things into their activities, staff, students, and academics. I have found myself feeling secure in being committed to this school, knowing I will be pushed to my full potential every year and still be helped to set up my future after graduation.

Gwynedd Mercy University is currently a backup option for me. Not because it lacks quality, but more because I haven’t had the chance to really see it for myself. It kind of flew under my radar at first, and only recently did I start digging deeper. The more I learn, the more I realize it’s got some solid strengths that deserve credit.
I’m especially interested in their health sciences programs. The nursing and allied health tracks seem really focused, with hands-on training built into the curriculum, which I appreciate. I’m someone who learns best by doing, not just sitting through lectures, so that aspect really speaks to me. The university’s mission of service and compassion also aligns with what I want to bring into my future career, helping others in a real, tangible way.
That said, one of the reasons it’s a backup for now is that I’m not as familiar with the campus culture. I haven’t seen as much about student activities or the energy of day-to-day life there. Things like clubs, weekend events, or even just the vibe of the student center—those little moments that make college feel like home—aren’t as visible online. If Gwynedd Mercy showcased more of that side, maybe more student voices, virtual tours, or stories from campus—I think it could absolutely move up my list.
Overall, I’d give it a 7.5 out of 10. There’s clear heart and purpose behind the academics, but I’d love to see a fuller picture of what life at GMercyU actually feels like. Who knows? Maybe a visit would change everything.

As a transfer student, I love Gwynedd Mercy University. There are so many clubs to join and there are opportunities for everyone. The classes are small and professors are reachable whether it's through email or just office hours. Everyone is friendly and there are a lot of great events that happen every year. The students, staff, and faculty make this university a great place to learn. There are plenty of resources. There is not much diversity but the school is working on it. So far my experience at Gwynedd Mercy has been great. This place is great for people who like personal connections with professors and small class sizes. There are many opportunities to join a club and even if you do not live on campus, you will still be able to attend many of the events on campus.

I think this is a great school academically and athletically. If you are looking for a party school Gwynedd is not it. We focus mainly on our academics and athletics and overall I feel like it is a pretty good institution. The only bad things I could say about the school is how bad the food is and how expensive it is.

Gwynedd Mercy is a great place to live and learn! The professors care a lot about the success of their students. The courses are rigorous, but I feel that they are preparing me for the real word. Campus life is good. While cafeteria food can always be improved, there are many choices, and a lot of places nearby off campus to purchase other options.

Overall my opinion of Gwynedd Mercy is it a good school academically, but needs to include things to allow commuters to feel like they are apart of the community. The commuter population continues to grow each semester so they need to have a sense of belonging. I also feel that as a catholic/christian institution they shouldn't be so focused on being like every other college/university. I understand diversity and inclusion, I just feel that the school should definitely stand out more because of the values and principles it was founded on.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Gwynedd Mercy University is 90%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I should of believed my teachers when they said college is not cheap and not a place to start games. I've always been a good student, but its hard to pay for school. Freshman 15 is real and you will get it in the first 2 weeks of college.
Determined student that is ready to get their work done and enjoys school work. If you are looking for a good nursing program this school has agood nursing program that is pretty difficult through. You have to be driven in what you want to do with your life.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Negative people should not attend Gwynedd-Mercy College. This school is full of positive young people who really get along with each other. There is a great spirit there and they look out for one another.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
My school is unique because classes are small and we get special attention compared to a large university where there is a lack of special attention. Our mascott happen to be a griffin which is suprisingly new for me as a first year student. GMC was founded and sponsored by the sisters of Mercy which is a priviledge for me and many others because of their strongly positive values. Another thing that is stunningly unique to my school is that the property of our campus was donated by the real James Bond.
The school provides the tools you need to be successful in your field. The classes that are needed are available and they do whatever they can to make sure you are taking the classes you need when you need to take them.
the best thing about my school is the tutoring the small class sides, the teachers, the students, the campus every room is different and they have jobs that you can do and get paid for it
