A very good school both academics-wise and in the rich community. Most of my formative experiences have been outside of class. I find some aspects of our campus culture frustrating, but on the whole, I'm grateful for the time I've spent here and the opportunities it's given me. Highly recommended for academically driven people who care about their intellectual and philosophical life. Make the most of your time here by learning to sleep, pray, and stay active; school isn't everything!

I initially had a difficult time choosing a college but have never regretted my decision to choose Hillsdale College. The people there are fantastic and have helped me grow so much as a person. The faculty are genuinely invested in their students and always willing to have good conversations. There is a genuine sense of campus unity and I feel known wherever I go. I really enjoyed my first year here and cannot wait to go back for sophomore year!

Hillsdale College is doing great work in returning emphasis to true education. Being liberal arts based, their primarily focused on enriching the mind. They do not push a particular ideology, like other Ivy League colleges do, but place a heavy emphasis on objective truth. They invite students to seek out what is objectively true, and they refuse to passively allow relativism to reign.
In a similar vein, they do not force a particular religious view. Although the school was founded by freewill Baptists and has a Christ Chapel, they do not force anyone to be Christian. In their search for truth, they invite the student to consider what they call the ultimate truth: God. Since all students who apply are aware of the college's love for the search for truth and learning, they consider this the ultimate question which needs to be answered, which is why the college is Christian and conservative in its character.
As I have said, Hillsdale College is devoted to truth. It also makes sure that applicants also share their pursuit. Their current statistics show that they only accept 21% of applicants. If you are devoted to truth, to God, and your country, this is the place for you. I wholeheartedly endorse this school, and I hope that the reader also comes to share this perspective!

It is an amazing college for those who want an academic challenge and would like to grow in their understanding of life, history, and the arts. Hillsdale College tries its best to educate its students and enable them to think wisely and thoughtfully about the world we live in and the path of life we walk. Students are challenged and come out on top.

Hillsdale is a great place to go if you're looking for an affordable liberal arts college where you are free to study many things before choosing your major. The faculty and academics are unmatched, and campus culture is very friendly and welcoming. However, this is not a good college to go to if you are LGBT+, disabled, neurodivergent, or even politically liberal. While the students and faculty are generally openminded and willing to listen to diverse opinions, the administration is controlled by conservative donors, and students can be punished for everything from extramarital sex to dressing in a way that's considered atypical for their gender. Many students have a great experience at Hillsdale, but it's because they never run into the harsh consequences for breaking the norm that await between the lines of the Honor Code and in the deans' offices. There is also no sexual assault policy or prevention education on campus, leaving women vulnerable to great harm should something happen to them. So while I will always have a great love for the students I met at Hillsdale and the wonderful professors who helped me become who I am during my time as a student, I cannot say that I would send my son or daughter there until significant reforms are made.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Hillsdale College is 45%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
