What do you consider the worst thing about Iowa State University? Why?

Zak

I feel almost closed off from the outside world at Iowa State. That has to be the worst thing about it, you just feel isolated.

Katie

I believe that every experience is different depending on the student. Personally, I have no negative comments about Iowa State University overall. I enjoyed my time there and as a non-traditional student, I felt welcomed and appreciated.

Shannon

Distance from home....5 and a half hour drive makes it difficult to go home "whenever".

I consider the worst thing about Iowa State University is the dorms. The buildings themselves are very nice, although they vary between each one. However, the locations of the dorms and parking can be horrible. Residences near campus are nice, but parking is upwards of a mile away (which you must walk, depending on time of day.) Other locations, such as the "Towers", are themselves even further away than thought possible. This can make having an off-campus job very difficult for many.

I think the worst thing about my school is that some areas of study are really good while others are lacking. Either you get really good professors and get an amazing grade or you are forced to sit and listen to a professor that is not anywhere close to good at teaching the topic.

Megan

The worst thing about my school is that they do not give out alot of scholarships to their students. I did well and was involved in my high school but, even though I had a high GPA (3.67), it wasn't enough to get me even 5000 for 4 years.

Heather

I feel that the student fees are not being used properly.
