Iowa State University Top Questions

I would consider the diversity of the school to be the best thing. Of course the classes and professors are amazing, but for me it was how different campus life was. I came from a very small farm town and coming to campus was the first time alot of other cultures or beliefs were introduced to me. I think living at Iowa State for the past year has helped me to open up and see all the options life has.

I feel everything at Iowa State University is great such as the beautiful campus, the large amount of activities available, and the people who gather together in this wonderful place.

The environment of the school. I love going to class and looking around on campus and seeing how pretty it is and all the students walking or riding their bikes to class. I love the options of where to study and the places to eat.

The amazing school spirit! We may not have the best football team, but everyone still goes to the games and has a great time cheering and hanging out with friends!. Also, everyone is always willing to help! Whether you are a freshman getting to know the campus, or a transfer student from another major, the faculty and students are sure to make you feel welcome! Nobody is discriminated against for their race or religion, which makes Iowa State a very enjoyable place to attend school, study, and make life-long friends!

I have gone to a few different schools before attending Iowa State University. I like ISU because the campus is beautiful and the students and professors are friendly. At Iowa State you have so many activities you can participate in and a large community of different people you can get to know.

My school offers so much for its students. Speaking from a minorities point of view, they offer us a vast number of resources. We have the Multicultural Student Association which offers us free tutoring services, APEX (a summer program), free printing, and much more. Theres also the Black Student Alliance. Here, it is a great environment to meet other black students while at a predominantly white institution. I do not feel lesser than any other student here at ISU. I feel welcomed and like I belong. They continue to make efforts to have every person and culture feel at home.

I love the design program we are very prestige and so thankful I was accepted into the Interior Design program.

There is a definate small town feel to this university. Although it is semi-large, it feels small and feels like you know everybody there after the first year.

Iowa State's campus size is great, not too big that you have to rush, but not so small you are on top of everyone else when going to class.

My school is considered one of the top three Engineering schools in the nation. Our career fair for graduates is looked forwars too by every major company in the United States becuase the quacilty of student and his or her education is that of a high caliber, and far beyond other Univeristy's.

The best thing about my school is the campus layout because everything is wide enough to have a gorgeous campus and yet near enough to be able to walk everywhere.

The best thing is the class sizes and the teachers. The class sizes really are not as big as i would of thought and i really enjoy all the teachers. They are very experienced in their work and know a lot about the subjects they teach. Also, the campus here is goregeous and is amazing to walk around on or be outside studying.

The students who attend, the engineering program, and central campus. All the students are very friendly and generally quite happy. The engineering program at ISU is very good, and most of my professors are good teachers. Central campus is so nice to just sit, or play games and such. In the fall and spring there are always tons of people out there.

The best aspect about Iowa State University is that the Professors are extremely personable. Once you reach your core class for your desired major, professors love to see you be sucessful. They also take time out of their schedules to make sure you are succeding.

I think that the best thing about this school is the environment - in the classrooms, dorms, dining centers. It very welcoming and allows students to be themselves with little to no restrictions. You can really find out who you are here.

You get a small-school feeling with big-school opportunities. There are so many resources around for you to take advantage of, and plenty of people who want nothing more than for you to receive a good education.

The people are friendly , and teachers here are kind, and the nice enivorment .

The "Best" about ISU is there is too much. There are plenty of ways to get involved and make new friends. There are many activites and sport events to do and attend on or off campus such as events at The MU or places off campus are fun. A Main event is VEISHA, it's a celebration that's every Spring and one of many oldest traditions. It's a showcase of ISU's commuity with many educational and entertainment events. Another reason is the beautiful campus and buildings. There are too many "Best" things about ISU to fit in.

I would say the community of the school is great. Iowa State does a great job of having activities, clubs, and events for students to meet new friends and to be invovled all the time with the university. Iowa State seems to really want their student to feel welcomed at the school and have it as their 2nd home.

There are so many things to do because it is a bigger school. There are so many offered classes and work experienced, for exmaple labs, so that you can explore what you want to do. Along the same lines, there are many student and university funded organizations, activities, and learning communities so that everyone can have a leadership opportunity/social life.
