I love John A Logan College It is cost friendly my only quam is the fact that there is not on campus housing but they do have housing at nearby locations within walking distance. the campus is friendly and welcoming but kind of bland. I am going there very soon

Great school!

Good school! My experience had been that the teachers are every bit as good as those at a university, the main difference being a smaller class size, greater accessibility, and cheaper tuition. Sometimes the smaller program sizes can result in a fairly informal atmosphere which can cause some students to slack off.

It is a wonderful Junior College. They have many opportunities there, many free services, and plenty of activities to be involved in. The workers and teachers there truly have the best interest in the students and they want to see them succeed. Security is absolutely wonderful there, they always keep us safe while having fun with us.

Great for a small campus. Classes are decent sized but the classes aren’t offered at many times unless it’s a basic class. Online classes are easy but consistent. If you live around the campus I would definitely recommend coming to John a Logan college to save money on university.

I absolutely love the campus! The facility and staff are amazing and always there to help. Highly recommend this college to anyone looking to start out at a community college before transferring. Also they offer great one to two year programs that let people easily join the workforce after they have completed their program. Overall a great school!

I think it is a great school to start off in! It is safe, has many opportunities for all types of students and it is cheaper than any university around!

On campus housing is pretty good and way more spacious than I thought. Campus food is okay but if the food was heated up and a little warmer it would be much better. The Academics as a whole is really good. Though the classes may be a little hard you will learn no doubt. Overall this is a great college to attend.

John A Logan College is a commuter school that is often used by students who have gone to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, who are trying to finish up an associate's degree or get back into SIUC. With that basis, John A Logan is a very good college to attend for a few semesters with a maximum of 3 classes each semester. Looking at this college for long-term studies, this college fails on many levels. After attending here for 3 semesters, I've noticed that the academic level is considerably less than other colleges in the area. Most weeks are spent just working on the same project that could've been handled in a few days. Although it's only professors teaching the classes, some professors teach in areas they don't fully understand. It's an underfunded college that doesn't seem like it will be able to exist for much longer as a 4 year university, and may be forced to only offer associate's degrees.

John A. Logan is a great school to transition from high school to college. They set you up to succeed and I love that about them. Help is what students need when going to college and that is what they’re all about. I never feel uncomfortable with any type of situation I have to go through needing help at John A. Logan I wouldn’t choose any other school to attend and get educated at.

The teachers were very personable and friendly. The class sizes were never too big, and they offered plenty of chances to ask questions. Plenty of tutoring is available and usually the teacher has office hours that you can speak privately with them. The campus is much nicer than most junior colleges.

I think John A is a excellent transition from homeschooling to college, especially because of their Dual Enrollment program. One thing I wish they encouraged more was the block class, so students would have the opportunity to finish classes sooner. I love how small the campus is, easy to walk everywhere. Staff is always friendly, and teachers are normally pretty easy to get a hold of.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for John A Logan College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
If I could go back in time an talk to myself as a high school senior I would tell myself that its not easy and at times it becomes very stressfull , expecially when you have papers to write in almost every class. I would also tell myself that in order to survive an do well in college that I have to focus more on what I can do an what I do understand instead of what I cant do because I dont understand it.
My classmates are hardworking students. They are articulate and brilliant in their own way which makes them unique. My classmates have set many goals and on the verge of meeting others. I believe that my classmates have a bright future ahead of them, and I am looking forward to see that day come.
I think that anyone who is looking to further their education should do so at Kaplan University for the convenience and ease. Adult learners and parents will be able to highly benefit from Kaplan University.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The teachers are great, the campus is beautiful, and most of the students are very friendly. I see a lot of friends from high school everyday! This junior college is ranked fifth in the nation.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The college that I am currently attending is Kaplan University. I take online courses which allows me to continue working full time and to successfully raise my child. The fact that I have the opportunity to choose which courses that I want to attend at what time of day I want to take them makes my college experience a breeze!
The best thing about my school is that its small an easy to get around .. there are also alot of places to go an recieve help if u need it in any subject
