Every one gets something different out of ksu but for most its a good time. I love the school itself. Although it has a large population campus feels like a small campus and you can literally walk from anywhere on campus to anywhere else in ten minutes. The admin at ksu are like any other campus basically. You have your really hard teachers as well as your really easy ones. Some are good teachers and some are not so great. One of the biggest student complaints is parking. Its really not that great on campus. The parking lots for the dorms are WAY away from campus as well as a fairly long walk from the dorms themselves and they are always really crowed so its hard to find a good parking space and because they are so far away its kinda scary walking from your car to the dorm late at night, especially being a girl.

The best school in the country. Im so glad I picked K-State. The people here are amazing and I had the best years of my life.

You won't find nicer people anywhere. K-State is a major university, it's got all of the resources a student could need. We have great ag, vet med, and engineering departments. From my experiences, professers are very approachable and more than willing to help students succeed. K-State is just an all around great place.

Manhattan is a total college town! The admin is very attentitive and helpful. The most frequent complaint by students is parking, but a new parking garage is under construction to be done in Dec 2008, which will help.

One thing I'd change about K-State is beautification. K-state has little to no fountains, or outside art to beautify the campus. Other Universities that I have been a part of or visited have many fountains and they look very nice.

First of all, the campus. All year, and particularly during the spring, it is absolutely gorgeous. It has a very welcoming feel to it. The architecture is bold and elegant. Old, but not out-of-date. Modern buildings blend seamlessly. It is wide open yet still easily walkable. The size of the school works well. Its small enough that you see friends and acquaintances frequently but large enough that there are always more people who you don't know. This ensures that there are always new people to meet, and gives a feeling of more independence. The "college town" atmosphere separates itself from the rest of the community. Aggieville, at the heart of nightlife for students, sits adjacent to campus with the two at the center of Manhattan. Things quiet down considerably for the whole town during the summer.

Total college town, Manhattan is great for college students.
Lots of school pride even though we haven't been great at any sports since I've been going there.
I love going to a big state school with a strong Greek system.
However, I would change the Greek system (they're going extreme-conservatism) so that some old traditions and philanthropies could be done again.

Manhattan is not a very big city. I wish there was more shopping here but Kansas City is only two hours away and I make it there every few months. Maybe it helps me save money! Aggieville is awesome, there are so many bars within a few blocks, every town should have a place like it.

My favorite thing about KState is the atmosphere and how the campus is laid out so that everything isn't that far away. I also get quite favorable reactions when I tell people that I go to KState. So this is a respected facility.
KState has a great administration for the most part, and many of them are very willing to help you succeed. I would also have to say that KState is very much part of a college town. Aggieville is just south of campus and a pretty short walk from anywhere on campus.
There is quite a bit of school pride at KState, and with the basketball team that we had this year it definitely did a great job at complimenting that pride.

KSU has a beautiful campus located in the Kansas Flinthills. KSU is the smallest of the big 12 schools but certainly the friendliest as well. K-State is a well respected University. A degree from KSU actually means something, which is more than can be said about most other Kansas colleges and universities. Manhattan is a fantastic town with lots of things to see and do and an awesome college scene with "aggieville" right next to campus. KSU has more pride than any other big 12 school and it shows. If your interested in agriculture, KSU is the number 1 agriculture school, with the best and brightest ag professors in the nation. Don't waste you time or money going someplace lessor.
