It's a great school and provides so many opportunities. Whether it's something that has to do with the sciences or something to do with the arts there are no limits. Teachers are always available for help. There are so many clubs and activities to get involved in and chances to make new friends and meet so many new people.

I truly value keystone college. They are a great support in every area. I have not made such a significant decision in a while and choosing keystone a positively impacted my life. Although there are challenges with balancing home life and school I k ow that I have the support necessary to be successful academically.

It wasn't praised by alumni or current students, some professors didn't want to help other students and some students felt like their questions were never getting answered. The food was alright, but students complain about after effects. Sports are a priority and cater to the athletic department, and there's an in crowd if you weren't in it, no one listened.

My opinion keystone is a very outstanding school and they give each there students the tune that they need. As myself for applying they have been very welcoming in any of my concerns, questions, keeping up to date on my application. I’m proud to say the school has helped me out a lot.

I want to go to keystone college because they give us a lot of opportunities to study, I like the campos and my counselor. I want to go also because it’s a great opportunity for me in order to start my career. They are amazing teacher who are great at their job

Keystone College has a great professor to student ratio and the professors are very dedictaed to their students. They care about their students’ futures and what they will become. Class sizes are small enough that professors get to know you more on a personal level. Many opportunities on campus to get involved in and new ideas are always welcome. The college’s back campus of forest/land is so beautiful. Of course there are some problems like at any institution. Communication can be a problem as well as how things are run sometimes. Getting stuff done can be a problem. Lack of enthusiasm and wanting to do more for the program is showed from other departments (than science).

In my opinion keystone college is beautiful. The campus is beautiful the teachers are so really and staff are so helpful, the food is awesome, the classrooms are cozy and Hold a good amount of students, there’s always someone walking around campus from campus safety to walk you somewhere or to help you when you needed. the dorm rooms are a decent size and have heat and the bathrooms are cleaned twice a day, the showers have a good water pressure and are really hot, the beds are comfortable and cozy. The sport teams here are amazing and are really good to watch play. OAnd everyone greats you with a smile and a good morning or good afternoon.

Everyone is extremely nice. Campus isn’t too big so classes are easy to find and easy to get to in a short period of time. It’s nice to be able to hangout and some people go home on weekends which makes it more fun when the dorm rooms are less full and you can just have fun with your friends.

When I first applied to Keystone College, I did it as a shot in the dark. I didn't think I would get accepted because of how low my GPA was. I made a few mistakes in high school that led to me having to transfer schools and do Junior & Senior classes all in one year to graduate on time. After I got out of high school, no school would accept me due to either my GPA, or past mistakes I made. Keystone College accepted me because of my mistakes. They believe in us as students, athletes, and as people. They care about our parents, our lifestyle and our feelings. You feel a personal connection here with everyone on campus. The admissions office calls & emails you reassuring you that they'll do everything they can to give you an opportunity. Coming here was the best decision I've made in my life.

I have visited Keystone College twice so far, first with my mother and younger siblings and accepting enrollment on my 2nd visit with my mother and father. I am planning on visiting again this Friday to meet my new wrestling coach and teammates. We were all so impressed with the quaintness and tight knit community of the school, that both of my younger siblings are already saying that they want to attend Keystone College someday!

Overall i made the right decision to go here. i absolutely love the staff, professors, and the other students here. everyone here is so welcoming. and accepting. The staff always has a smile on their faces, and their always friendly. the professors i had were super nice and i loved the way they taught. i also made a lot of friends that are super nice and welcoming.

Keystone is a good school. It's a small school. The Student Activities Center are always having events going on. But the school is in the "middle of nowhere" so if you want to get off campus you DEFINITELY need a car or a friend with a car, because the shuttle suck.

If you're into quiet, tiny, isolated places that have a great nature vibes to them then this school may be for you. It's got a great atmosphere for nature and beautiful backgrounds for the campus. The students are friendly and very accepting of types of people, the staff are understanding and willing to work with you one on one if needed. You will need a car to get around unless you plan on using the shuttle service daily.

  3. Describe the students at your school.

    Outgoing, liberal and diverse. This campus is friendly to gay, lesbian and transgender indivduals as well as a limited but present cultural diversity. I am lucky enough to have friends from everywhere on campus and can say that each individual brings something new and amazing to the campus. There is a lot of partying that goes on, but you only get to see it if you are interested in it, since this is a dry campus. Here, the atmosphere is what you make it. If you can balance schoolwork and social life, you got it made.

  4. What is your overall opinion of this school?

    My opinion of this school is great. The campus is small, so it doesn't take a half an hour to get from one classroom to another. Also students know each other and are helpful when you need them. The school is very unique too because there are a lot of aspects that other schools don't have like hiking trails, a creek, Victorian style houses used as residence halls and offices, and a rich history based on helping the community. I really love Keystone and what it has to offer. The only thing I wish was different was the surronding town. I wished there were more stores and restaraunts nearby. There are a few in walking distance that are fun, but if we want a change we normally drive the short distance into Clarks Summit or Dickson City.

  5. What are the academics like at your school?

    The academics here are probably in the top three best things about Keystone. Since the classes are small (mine are normally seven to ten people), the teacher knows me and my learning style. We learn as a group instead of as individuals. It is really helpful when you need extra help or everybody doesn't understand something. Since it is a small group we can discuss a topic with a teacher so that we understand or we can ask the teacher to adpat the way the lessons are being taught. If something can't be done within the class, the teachers are more than willing to meet with anyone outside of class time. This has made it easier to understand material and ask for help when needed. It is kind of like a mini-family in each class where everyone including the teacher helps each other and works together.

  6. What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?

    I really don't think there are stereotypes of students at Keystone. I mean I'm sure there are a few out there, but none that I am familiar with. Keystone is very diverse and has students of all differences.

  7. What are the most popular student activities/groups?

    Probably the most popular activities on campus are playing on a sports team and DJ Bingo. They are two very different but both very popular activities. Sports teams are popular because they help you make friends while you get to do something you love. Dj Bingo is fun because you get to play bingo, eat free food, and win cash prizes while listening to a dj play awesome music. You should check out both campus activities if you get the chance.

  8. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

    The worst thing about my school would have to be the security. In each dorm there is only one video camera at the main enterance. This semester I was charged over 20 dollars in damages of school property because the could not identify the person/s that were responsible. If the security was better everyone would not have to pay these charges.

    The kind of person that should not attend this school is one that is not willing to work for their grades. Keystone college's art program is outstanding and you are expected to deliver, work hard, and excelle. If you are not there to learn and work, then I don't suggest this school for you. Besides acidemics if you are not an out-doors type of person and perfer the city, I don't suggest keystone for you.

    Coming from a big school, I did not like, Keystone fits me perfectly. I love this school. Playing on the men's soccer team, intermural sports, my major, the people and professors in my major, and the campus, all make this school great for me.

    As an art education student, I can freely brag about my campus as one of the bestin this field. Students who go here for this degree come out of here with a reputation for being amoung the best.

  14. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

    I wish I was more prepared for the amount of work that I was doing inside the classes and outside. I feel like my high school did not prepare me anough for it, but I dont mind the work load here because I enjoy what I am doing.

    I really like the community feel and how nice students and faculty are to one another. I also really like the openness of the campus and how woodsey it feels.

    I had not heard much at all about Keystone before I came here, but since coming I haven't heard of a strereotype, I couldn't immediately laugh off a being rediculous.

  18. Describe your favorite campus traditions.

    Its beautiful seanery and friendly staff. The classes are smaal enough that the professors can extend individual attention to students who are having difficulties with any part of the material. Also, we have the best Cross-Country team in North-east Pennsylvania.

    We're in Northeast Pennsylvania and the snow hits hard at times. We occasionally get power outages, but normally its no big deal.

  20. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

    Parking at times, but that has improved. I do not have any issues that I would find frustrating. Help when requested as well as cooperation from student services in multiple areas has proven to be a positive experience. I am student that is very particular about understanding what or how everything is to be done, or what is expected, either of myself, or any other person or circumstance. I think the Biology lab could use new microscopes of a higher quality, and updated wash stations. Bathrooms should also have hands-free facilities and water-saving options.

  21. Where is the best place to get work done on campus?

    When I'm not doing work in my dorm, I prefer the library. There are computers there to use and print from, and the upper level is a quiet study area with tables and couches.

TUITION & AID

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
