Kilgore college is an above-average public college. It's a small institution with an enrollment around 1,970 undergraduate students. The acceptance rate for kilgore is 100%. They offer great campus living and the food is sanitized and made with real ingredients. Kilgore is also very affordable, it is 2x cheaper than most of the community colleges around Texas. Kilgore majors in a bunch of majors and are known for their outstanding work and dedication to their students.

Kilgore College is a great community college. It has its downfalls but few to mention. They have a great athletic program along with an amazing theater program. Overall I had a great experience there and I would recommend Kilgore College to anyone looking for a college to go to.
Jewel
The campus is very clean and all of the staff is super polite to everyone and genuinely seems to enjoy being there. The staff is very knowledgeable in the area they are assigned. I would recommend anyone that plans to attend a junior college to at least give Kilgore College a chance.
Ariana
I actually enjoy being a student at Kilgore College. The professors are very caring and understanding!
Tiffany
Kilgore College was a great first start for me. Classes were easier and cheaper than starting at a four year university. The teaching staff is great and so is the administrative staff. I would recommend Kilgore to anyone who needs a easier transition into college life but still wants some distance from home.
Sarah
Some of the teachers are very... odd. Overall, it's college. There are various classes, teachers, and the campus is clean. However, there should be other safety measures implemented, like more streetlamps. Kilgore college is where I will be attending to receive my Physical Therapy and basics classes.

Love the small town feel and love the staff. I also really love the athletic department. I will be playing softball at Kilgore College 2019-2021 and so very excited about the opportunity. The Coaches have been so welcoming and truly seem to care about us as students first and then athletes.
Andrea
Overall, I have enjoyed my time at Kilgore College . I have had excellent professors that have helped me achieve my academic goals. I met many interesting people from diverse backgrounds on campus and have been able to develop relationships with them. I believe I made the right decision when I chose to attend Kilgore College.

Great school and great teachers especially the disability services advisors. They really care about the students and doing whatever it takes to help the students find ways to succeed in the best learning environment for them. They have a great Tutoring lab. The teachers are always quick to answer questions, offer feedback if help is needed. Class sizes are perfect and I never felt like I was just another nameless face in the crowd. Great Community college.

It's a school you can get a degree at, but they don't support the arts and we are always scared of getting cut. Sports is everything and they get most of the funding. The teachers are mostly good, classes are small and most of the time the students aren't disruptive. They're are better schools but at Kilgore College you get what you pay for.
TOSHA
I love the school and the teachers! There are so many opportunities at Kilgore College, and it is conveniently located in Longview and Kilgore, Texas. The teachers and staff are ready to help you whenever you may need, and if you need a little extra tutoring just visit "The Zone."
Kasey
A good school to get in and get what you need done. I wouldn't exactly say that Kilgore provides the typical college experience. However that could be because I am a commuter and I live about 20 minutes away. And when I am there, all I want to do is finish class and go home. Overall, Kilgore doesn't stand in the way of those students who just want to finish school.
Ana
Overall this school really benefits their students. If you just barely graduated high school to those who are returning to school years after and are now ready to start a career. This school is not a financial burden, because of this there are many who come from out of the country. Proferssors are willing to work with you and students are very helpful.
Ana
Kilgore College is affordable. There are some clubs on campus, and the Thursdays and Tuesdays are clubs meeting day at 11:30. The class sizes are perfect, close to 30-40, even less. There is a close student-teacher ratio. The teachers are always available to help you.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Kilgore College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
The first semester of college is the start of your future life. Everyone is willing to make friends and get in with the crowd on campus so you will have your opportunities to meet people; howerver, the main focus should be on classes and keeping up with a schedule. The schedule is the start of being organized and organization is a great key to success. What this means is showing up to classes on time and knowing how to balance classes, homework, and extra curricular activities. Easier said than done, the best way to achieve success is to set achievable goals. You'll find that keeping your GPA up sets better oppertunities later in life, so with that said, set goals to turn in all your homework on time and study for every test early on. The earlier you study for a test the better results you'll achieve at the end. College will help growth in maturity and responsibility. Ultimatly college is a critical stage in your life filled with excitment, fun, and eye opening experiences. Make the most of every day and count yourself fortunate to to be able to have this special oppertunity in your life.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Kilgore College is a great community college to start of your education as it provides an afordable tuitiion, ammenities to enrich your learning, and amazing faculty and staff you make the whole "college experience" a lot more delightful for its' students.
The best thing about my school is the social life. Everyone had a main group of friends, even if they didn't realise it. The educational experience was not just in the books and and classroom time with the teachers. The best memories were in lunch and in between classes.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The kind of person that should not attend Kilgore College would be a partier. Kilgore College is not a party school and it is in a small town so there is never anything to do. Kilgore is very boring and you will never have fun, most the students who attend Kilgore College complain about how boring it is and if students are not in class then most of them are in their dorm asleep. Also people who are to themselves should not attend Kilgore College. Everybody at Kilgore College knows everybody's business because everybody knows everybody and people talk.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The instructors at Kilgore College are outstanding. They truly allow students to achieve and excel by nurturing them in knowlegde while at the same time pushing them to the limits in order to master that particular subject. The instructors go above and beyond what they must do in order to feel confident that each and every one of their students will be able to prosper in the future. Their commitment to learning and their students is like no other, in my opinion. Instructors at Kilgore College are by far the biggest asset our community college has.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
There is really nothing fustrating about my school. To be honest I am so happy and fortunate to be there that there is nothing fustrating about it. I've met a lot of really nice people and the teachers are great and like I said I'm just happy to be there. However, if I must say something fustrating about it Kilgore College could use more parking. Last semester a lot of students were having to park off of the school grounds.
