I've enjoyed every class so far. The professors are great and quick to respond to any questions or concerns in a timely matter. The staff members are friendly and helpful. If I come across any issues, there is always someone to help. I would recommend Leeward Community College to anyone.

I was invited to attend a small college fair, and they did a small tour around the campus. It was interesting to hear about some of the courses that were being offered. They did a great job handling, and answering inquires. Though I didn't enroll as an on-campus student they do have online options. I believe that their online program is pretty great. I can attend school year round with a frozen tuition of $131 per credit hour. That's a lower price compared to on-campus students taking classes in the summer semester. Also the ability to take classes that are 5 weeks long is great too! Some may not like taking classes one after the other. The classes are prearranged, not many options to choose from. It depends on what courses are offered that semester. Online offers only a few majors, compared to attending as an on-campus student. I like the flexibility online, and it works for me. Overall its pretty good.

It is a very opening and comforting community college that bring people in from all over to get a degree and further their education with all the help they need. There are a bunch of variates of majors that students can take on. For me this college is close to home so it gives students like me and others from my community a place to further our educations that are closer to home.

Along with Leeward, I have also attended Kapiolani Community College, and University of Hawai`i at Manoa.
I can safely say that Leeward is one of the cleanest campuses with friendly staff. The facilities are close together and class sizes are good for one-on-one discussions. On top of the lively organizations that fill the schools, the educators are top tier and willing to help students both in and out of the classes.

Leewardcommunity college is a perfect school to go when you are just getting out of high school and you’re unsure about your future and it is also a good school to go to financially and academically. The class sizes are perfect and the administrators and professors are very good at working with you .

Leeward Community College is a great small college. The teacher mostly care about how you are doing in the class and the students are very welcoming. The food is great and well priced and the cafe has great coffee. Overall this is a great college for saving money.

I love my college. It is pretty small compared to most colleges, but I find the size perfect. Classrooms and offices are really easy to find, and It's impossible to get lost. Another thing I like about my college is that it is very community oriented. The students and staff are all very helpful and make you feel safe and comfortable. There are a bunch of programs that my college offers to help students. I'm in a program called G2FO. The program's main goal is to help students graduate on time. But the program also offers free textbooks, first choice enrollment, and a 500 dollars stipend per semester. My college experience so far has been great, I am within my community, close to home, and have a variety of helpful resources.

I feel that Leeward Community College is a great start for my college career. It is a small school with small class sizes. The counselors were very helpful and helped clear up any confusion that I had. The student orientation at the start of school help lessen any anxiety that I had. This school has helped with my parents obligation. We have 6 in my family and my parents work very hard having two jobs. I think it is unfair that they other that don’t work as hard get financial assistant. I wish my parents had a break.

Leeward Community College offers a wide variety of career pathways that may be of interest. The teachers and staff are all well experienced and friendly, they'll definitely guide students in the direction they're headed towards. As well as the friendly faces you'll see around campus. The student lounge always has a competitive gaming scene going on in there. Ka Mana'o the publication of Leeward covering important current issues and events that matter. From all the drama left in the large drama hall on campus, over to the Education building educating future educators, mind I repeat, Educators... I haven't even scratched the surface of what Leeward Community College has to offer. As it is the most laid back, cool, chill CC campus on Hawaii.. and it doesn't even have to try to be.

Leeward Community College is an outstanding organization that provides sufficient amount of opportunities for all social groups. Many resources are accessible within the campus and online. Family members and close friends were able to achieve their goals, regardless of their performance in high school, they received their degrees because of their magnificent pathways they offer.

For a community college Leeward has amazing teachers, especially for the Agriculture degree. The teachers on campus are approachable, caring, and helpful. Parking is free, and there are new facilities being built. Clean bathrooms, and facilities, great gardens and Hawaiian culture. The tuition is very reasonable and there are always new events the school promotes. The education is great you will learn more than you expect, its a safe environment, there are many areas to study or hang out. The parking is not too crazy and it is close to home and many stores. I have taken all of the general classes for my agriculture degree, and of all of them the in person teachers are the most passionate and caring about their teaching, and that includes if they teach an online course. The school is always sending out emails, postings, and speakers to the classes for anything school or work related. The school is dedicated to helping students succeed. There are many computer areas to use, snacks, food court, and workshops. I'm happy to graduate from Leeward!

It's a beautiful college with a laid back atmosphere. People are there to get their education and get out. It's still under construction but it's one of the newer schools with newer facilities, which is exciting. This is only my first sem attending but I rather attend here than Kcc.

It is a great small school to get an education for post-high learning. Also a great option to prepare for future careers. The facility may not be the greatest, but there are many programs available to help you succeed for the future. The professors are also available often for any help or questions if needed.

A very good stepping stone into the world of college for almost everyone. Very affordable, with fantastic professors and students. Although it can seem dead at times, and it does lack after school activities, everyone is very friendly and willing to just talk and hang out. There are also events that happen very often. Would recommend to anyone wanting to start off their college career in Hawaii.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Leeward Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would advise myself to stay focused and not get side-tracked with any sort of distraction or laziness. Procrastination is your worst enemy in college and I wish I kept my finish-it-right-away mindset that I started with.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wanted to know before I came to this school is that if there would be help and if there is anyone that can help you find a job out there in the world.
I have attended several community colleges and 2 universities during the earlier part of my education, Leeward Community College has been able to provide something that no other campus has . I think that diversity of the campus is the most exciting part of attending Leeward Community College. The students and faculty are from around the world providing an exquisite environment in each classroom.
I think that people who are determined and strong willed should attend this school. I feel this way because I was a stay at home mom for quite a while and I promised myself that I was going to make something of myself and provide a better life for my son. I also think that people should always attend school whether they have a masters degree or not, there is so much knowledge out there waiting to be discovered. Even people who start at the bottom, almost always have the potential to ultimately make it to the top.
The classmates in my course class are different from the classmates in High school. The classmates would actually be team players and are responsible people that I can work with. In High school, people would usually take advantage of who they think is the smartest person and work with him/her in order to get a good grade. What was worse was that the students wouldn't do the work and they instead let the 'smart' one do all of the work which was upsetting. Anyway, the students in LCC gives me a good experience that I won't forget.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
well I can honestly say that I have not considered other schools only because my school is c close to home and so is my childcare provider and I do not want to be far from my child, whether I am at school or work, etc.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Anyone can attend LCC. Theres the Pearl City campus as well as the Waianae campus. My first time in college I had classes on both campuses. The Waianae campus has limited class available. So, eventually I will be attending the LCC-Pearl City campus full time, then enroll at the West Oahu campus.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing about my school is the trafffic we have to deal with going in and out of the school's campus. There is only one way in and one way out. Many people tend to wait till the traffic dies down but for those that are in hurry, to go to work for example, must be super frustrated.
