I like my school it’s a small school so everyone knows each other the work is not that overwhelming most times and our administration team is nice we have nice events and a nice system that us students use it’s just the town is kinda boring and everyone goes home on the weekends.

Good school I cant wait to attend! When I first went there for the open house I was surprised about how cold it was in the auditorium even though it was like 30 degrees outside. The school is indeed christian based which is good for me and I was happy about seeing the international students there from India. Overall we attend the tour and it was great! Everything was suited for me!

For the most part it seems to be a well put together school. That is until you actually attend. Throughout my very first semester faculty lost a lot of my paperwork and was threatening to kick me out of school for their mistakes. As far as academics go there should be a broader spectrum of majors to choose from.

Livingstone college is overall an amazing school, it is just the point of staying involved with the campus. some students here and there complain that there is nothing fun to do but those are the students an was forced to come to school, don't want to be there and just party. for myself, as a student that is apart of every club there is such at SGA, NAACP, Royal court, Phi Beta Lambda, CERT Team, and, etc. there are many opportunities you just have to get out there and truly apply yourself because there is true"Life out of the stone"

My management is Sports Management, which is not offered above. I think that my school is pretty good overall, not the best but it is good for me right now. I feel like my school cares about my well being! My first semester was great, I have increased my GPA from college which was a major goal of mine.
Cardinal - 01/04/2019
My overall opinion of Livingstone College is that it isn’t bad but it indeed is under funded and neglected. I do feel they try to do their best with the money that is allotted but they have to make better money decisions to improve the overall college most buildings and things are old and very tough to use and be successful.

Livingstone College is a school that tries to offer a holistic experience for their students. The students enjoy a good party and Greek Life is the backbone of this party lifestyle. The classrooms are usually a good size, students have a good opportunity to learn. The campus facilities are being upgraded to ensure a better chance of success. Sports are a big deal, as well. Overall, the school is good but it is still a work in progress.

Overall, Livingstone College isn't a bad school. Yes, it has its problems, but most of them don't define Livingstone. Yes, it is known by everyone that the food is nasty. Yes, we have security but most of the time anyone can come on campus. Its little things like that that people know Livingstone for, but they are really minor issues when you attend this college. The campus is beautiful with its old buildings, and they're renovated so that even though it looks old on the outside they don't look old on the inside. The teachers are nice, and most times let you make up work because of all the extra-curricular activities we have.

It is a great HBCU and family oriented school but it needs a lot of construction done to the campus. The school has been here a long time and I think it’s time to upgrade everything. I love being a cheerleader and a freshman mentor at my school. We are not only classmates but here we accept everyone as a family. “You can get life out of a Stone at Livingstone”.
Krysten - 04/22/2018
Livingstone is a very college and I will prefer this school to anyone because I feel as though their not just worried about education but their also worried about people health and making sure everyone is graduating with an outstanding GPA and getting them involved on stuff on campus and not just be an insider and hanging by their self.
Jayden - 04/17/2018
I will be entering as a freshman in the fall of 2018. I cannot WAIT
Victoria - 10/12/2017
Livingstone College is a second-chance school. Many of the students that attend had no other options after completing high school and others did not even finish. The majority of the population either doesn't want to be there or has no idea why they are there. Overall, if you come with a serious attitude about your education you will succeed. There are plenty of people here that are willing to help you become the best you possible.
Natiyah - 07/27/2017
My overall opinion on Livingstone is good. The campus is small and that's good if you don't like many people or if you have a hard time getting around. The food is good on certain days. You will have helpful teacher and small classes. Its more guys on campus than girls. But overall Livingstone College is a good place.
Tiffani - 07/12/2017
Your experience is what you make it. I gave Livingstone and 3/5 because I do feel like the can improve this college some more. Most of the people have school spirit, good GPA's and positive attitudes. and there are some with negative attitudes. But at the end of the day the whole student body could come together as one with no negativity.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Livingstone College is 47%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.

Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
Livingstone College is a prominent historical black college which exemplifies true togetherness from the students and teachers and success from each employee and student.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing i considered about my school is are Financial Aid department. The reason why i say that is because, I am award to the State of Florida. Being on your own, and paying for your college on your own is really hard. The Financial Aid department they want their money, and when they want they money the want it now. Yes, i get work study, but the money i earn for that is for me to be able to buy soap, toliet paper, and ect. Its hard when Financial Aid wants to take that from you.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
Before I came to this school, I wish I would have known that this school is all about money. They are always talking about fining people for little small things. This year, I recieved a $100 fine simply because I was told that the 2nd floor, which is where I live, left trash in the hall, but when it all happened, I was away on a road trip, with my teammates. I also wish I would have known that the football team was terrible and have only one maybe 3 games in the last 2 years.
The professors at Livingstone College are absolutely amazing. I have yet to have a professor that is not excellent at what they do, and the way that they present their information. They are very efficient on making sure all of their students succeed.
The dating scene is very similar to any other college. There are the cute couples who seem to have it all together, and you also have those who break up constantly to just make up. However the male to female ratio is pretty good on campus so finding a potential girl or guy isn't very challenging.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I don't really brag about my school but if I did brag about my school i would how cool it is and how nice the environments is. I would also say how close my classes are and how i don't have to walk far in the sun.
