The main thing that i have gotten out of college is that its not like high school. You cant procrastinate in any way and you always have to stay on top of your esponsibilities.

Experiencing what a typical college student’s life is like gave me confidence to take on any of life’s obstacles. By the time I completed two of the required classes I felt accomplished. Maturity had showered me and I gained an understanding of what being a woman really meant. As summer drew to an end I took advantage by registering for classes as most of whom I graduated with were still indecisive about enrolling. At that point, I made myself ready for college without any doubts or fears. I knew what was expected of me and I refused to fall short or settle for less than my best abilities.
Fall approached and lead me into Miami Dade College. New experiences and endeavors awaited me as I arrived to my first morning class. I walked into the English class relaxed, feeling like a new woman. Time went on to reveal the "adult" classes: Principles of Accounting and Macroeconomics. I discovered that I was the youngest elite in most of my classes!
Now I see what obtaining an education can do for me. Thanks to college I am a strong, highly sophisticated, and determined woman. I will succeed thanks to college.

out of my college experience i have gotten and learned not to be shy because you meet a lot of new people from all over the place. being in college has also taught me how you really need to work hard to acheive your goals so you can have a bright future. college has been so valuble to me because it has help me grow as a person and become more responsible for my actions and school work.

Being in College for approximately three months now has really thought me alot. One of the most important thing I have learnt is that getting a degree is still not an assurance to a career. But, to me it is very valuable that I attend College because at the same understanding that earning a degree is not an automatic assurance to a career at least I can be assured that when my career opportunity comes along I will immediately have the advantage and requirements necessary; instead of returning to school and spending a great deal of time trying completing requirements I could have already completed while in the hopes of getting a job. Also it is very important that we or I identify my abilities and take such advantage of it.

From my college experience so far, I have become more responsible and independent. I have learned that in order to be somebody or become successful, going to college is very important. The more you achieve, the happier you will be, and the more successfull you will be in life. It has been valuable to attend college because I have learned that you never stop learning. Everyday you learn something new.

Attending college has been my dream since I was a kid, to me college has been an escape from the rough life I was living, some people escape their reality by doing drugs or drinking, but I decided going to college and against all odds I made my way to it. Even though this is my first semester in college I have learned so much! thanks to college I am now a more responsible young woman, I am more involved in my community and I have learned the meaning of the words sacrifice and hard work which are the most valuable lessons to me, there is nothing better than going to bed at 1:00 a.m studying for a test the next morning and getting an A on it, those experiences have shown me that hard work definitely pays off and it is absolutely worth it! Thanks to college I am proud to call myself a mature and independent young woman who has had a rough past but is definitely looking forward to bright future!

Experiencing college so far as a freshman is a great experience because I am actually doing good in both my reading and business class. I've learn to manage my time wisely when it comes to studying or just reading ahead. It has been valuable to attend college because im futhering my education so that I may succed in life. College is really different from high school just cause of the simple fact that you're independent and responsible for everything you do which indeed I love.

Honestly, I am actually the thrid person(out of 8) in my family to enter college. I did not think I would have even graduated High School, being the student that I was. When I sat and thought about where my future would headed, I decided it was time to change my life. I am a minority, the only thing that is noticed while I am around people that aren't of my kind is; he's probably just got out of jail, being down the road I was before and hearing what's around us (on the news and the internet), I woulld prefer not to be another statistic and to prove my teachers and everyone that doubted me, WRONG! I value my college experience because it helps me to be the person that I strive for, I know in the future I will be successful. While my parents were kids it was okay for anyone to work in McDonalds and now you need a high school diploma, so just imagine, by the time I finish my career, which diploma would actually count as an acheivement?
