01/16/2023I love Midland! I will be attending starting this fall of 2023. It makes me feel safe, wanted, and loved. I can’t wait to be apart of the dance program and further my education to become a teacher.

12/18/2020These people are frauds- I was a student enrolled in Music Education. Coming from an underprivileged background, I knew I needed a public service job with tenure, benefits, and loan forgiveness, and I felt it went hand-in-hand with my passions for music, teaching, and helping kids.
They gave me high-interest, private student loans to help pay for their ridiculous tuition while I was a music education major. My grandpa cosigned my student loans, because he believed that music education was a good investment for me.
When this administration took the campus over, they cut the entire music program, fired the faculty, and dropped all the music education students (it was only me). They told me I didn't have a choice, I could either get a *worthless* performance degree because it was the only thing my credits were still good for, or transfer to a new school and add years to my education. This was a lie and it was fraud. They were legally obligated to finish the degree I started and signed up for and paid for. It's called a "teach-out" and their failure to finish my education degree was fraud.
But because I was a trusting kid, I didn't know I had to have a lawyer in the room with me when I talked to these executives, when they told me my major was canceled, so I took them at their word.
Fast Forward, it is now past the statute of limitations when I realized what criminals they were (and are, these same people still run this campus). They even took white-out to their records and erased the record of me being an education major. They are telling me I was never enrolled in the program, and that I just coincidentally happened to be taking education classes for no reason, that there was no fraud, and that I am harassing them with slander.
I've defaulted on my student loans, there are no jobs that I can use to pay all my bills and these loans besides. The cost of this school's fraud isn't just on me; my grandpa is paying out of his retirement on the loans he cosigned, that were used to pay for my music education. This campus is siphoning my grandpa's retirement money, today, to pay on the fraud they committed on me 12 years ago.
If you're looking to pay top dollar for a private school, I'd recommend going to one that isn't run by frauds who lie to and take advantage of their students. Graduating in 2009 with a worthless degree that was forced on me, that I didn't choose, and a mountain of debt, ruined my life. Permanently. They burned my chance at a future to line their pockets with criminal fraud and got away with it.
