What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would advise my younger self to stay focused and to look at the end goal. I would say that there are many things that can be distracting but that in the end graduating with a degree is much more important. I would tell myself that there are many organizations willing to assist in helping pay for expensive college tuition and to not be discouraged when applying for colleges. I would tell my younger self that being an adult is no piece of cake and that having a well paying job is worth every late night studying.

What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my school is the label it has. Most people believe that students who attend a community college is because they are lazy. That is not true. While other students who go to universities, party, and waste their parents money, I work hard at my community college. I do not come from money. I was told at a young age that my parents will not give my any money towards college. I am paying my own way, unlike most students. I know

What are the academics like at your school?
My favorite class so far has been English 101 with Mr. Lee. He is an amazing teacher who engaged every single student in the class. Everyone participated and learned. It was fun and one of the most educational classes I have had yet. The students all had a desire to learn in his class and he treated each student with respect.
In general, class participation depends on the subject. As a student doing pre-requisites for the RN program, most of my science classes are very competitive and involve more listening than talking, except for in Lab. The Nursing program is extremely competitive and highly regarded. My professors have almost all been willing to take time outside of class if needed to provide extra help to students who need it.

What's unique about your campus?
The best thing about my school is actually something that my one professor mentioned that happens to be the reason why he loves teaching at our school. He found, and I definitely agree, that our school is full of ambitious students that want to get as much out of their classes as possible, mostly because when it comes to community colleges, the students are funding their own education and thus, more motivated to get their money's worth.
