Student bodies at SLU come from a great range of backgrounds. I enjoy seeing people from all over with different points of view in one area but unfortunately they pretty much stay in their own little groups.

SLU's student body is so diverse and everyone gets along well. Because its a "liberal" jesuit university, you dont have to be catholic to go here. I'm not. There's many different religions and no one feels pressured about catholisism. There's different political stances too and yet no one feels pressured by them. There's no such thing as "the cool group" or the "loser group" becuase theres so many people that no one knows everyone and plus, people just dont care like they did in high school. No one ever feels excluded and like an outcast, unless you want to be.

It is very caucasian, middle to upper class.

SLU is a catholic school, and a lot of students went to private catholic high schools. However, I am Lutheran and went to a public highschool. It really doesn't matter what religion you are, but you are required to take philosophy and theology courses. Students of the same race tend to group together, but I think you will find this at any university. Most students wear very casual cloths to school. Most students are from Missouri or Illinois.

Most students are upper-middle class and white. However, no one is out of place or "alone". I think anyone could feel comfortable on SLU's campus.

SLU is not very diverse, but is not opposed to diversity. I'd say that SLU is pretty accepting. I like it because I can roll out of bed and go to class in sweats if I want, the majority of students do not get dressed up for class. Some people look nice for class, but its typically pretty casual. Being a Jesuit school most students come from Catholic or private high schools. A lot of people are from Chicago, Ohio, and Nerbraska. Oh and of course St. Louis. Also since SLU is private people come from middle class to wealthier backgrounds.

The greek community at SLU is quite small but very interactive with the university and the community. There are many clubs that people can join if they do not want to join a fraternity or sorority also. Overall, the student body is very friendly and determined.

Student body is not very diverse, it is predominately white, few blacks and asians. Very friendly atmosphere. majority of students are christian, and have come from private high schools. On school days, jeans and a tshrit is the common apparel.

There are a number of groups on campus that really reach out to students. There is little exclusivity in this reach out effort. Every group is very accepting of all students with all different points of view. Everyone comes from different backgrounds, states, ethnicities, financial situations- you name it. Everyone seems to work together, though to accept others for who they are and where they came from. I have a hard time imagining anyone feeling out of place.

A lot of the kids come from money but their are a variety off all types of kids. I never owned a designer thing before I cam to SLU and now I own 5 designer purses. People have chanel sunglasses and coach purses and wear seven jeans. You can wear anything to class from sweats to a dress. I was in a sorority so I found a lot of my friends to be Greek but I also had friends who were not Greek. The students come from all over the US.
