Savannah College of Art and Design Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Savannah College of Art and Design? Why?

Latasha

The security and the on-campus food because security does not come in a reasonable time to emergencies. The on-campus food has not real taste and is mostly canned. No real nutritional value to the on-campus food.

Rebecca

I love SCAD and so it is hard for me to find anything that I hate about it. I would say the thing I dislike most is the cost of tuition. I am going to school full time and working almost full time to cover costs, this makes it hard to participate in any of the extra-curricular activities and lectures.

Turkesia

Not enough teachers in my department.

Christine

The offical side of SCAD is really sucky. They drain the money out of you.

Katie

The worst thing about my school is probably the meal plan food.

Catherine

There is nothing wrong with my school because it is filled with lots of good people and creative minds.

Giana

The worst thing about my school would be the cost. It is an extrememly expensive school, which at times it can be difficult to come up with adequate finances to cover the cost because of the economy, but what I will say is, for the tuition, the education is well worth it. I have an 85{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} chance of recieving a job offer BEFORE I graduate, which to me is definately worth the investment.

Rachel

The worst thing about SCAD is that sometimes the student services are lacking, which is to say that sometimes it is hard to get help from the administrative department. Personally, I haven't particularly had any difficulty, but I have friends who have had difficulty with things like the housing department (not being assigned housing even though they signed up and paid on time) and such.

Danica

The worst thing about SCAD in my opinion is the financial aid department. The people who work there are unquailifed and unfocused and ultimately unhelpful. They try to tell you that you are wrong and try to make you feel stupid to make up for the fact that they do not know what they are talking about. I have never had a good experience with the financial aid department.

Anthony

I felt that I never knew what the next step of progression after I was admitted. And never really recieved good communication about when or what the status was of my financial aid. I still, after a semester, do not know when to pay for my next semester or how to pay for my summer quarter.
