Ever since attending a tour there, I have loved the programs and the people. The college fits perfectly with what I want to pursue.

At SCAD, we study skills related to our craft, partner with companies and businesses, and learn real-world concepts like team building, marketing, organization, leadership, and more. I am obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in digital photography and filmmaking. My focus is wildlife conservation. I am honing my skills to capture images of endangered species, raise awareness, and generate support for wildlife causes. I can contribute to conservation efforts by becoming the best in my field. SCAD offers me the best opportunities to do that because we partner on real-life applications with the best industries in the world, everyone from 3M to Disney. SCAD is fast-paced and crams an entire semester of study into each quarter, so be aware.

SCAD is an absolutely amazing place, as someone who has been there personally. The staff and students are all wonderful people and the university itself had resources not available anywhere else. It's academic programs span far and wide and I'm sure they have something to offer for everyone. It is on the expensive side, but it's story and the location are wonderful. I could not ask for more. (Other than maybe a lower cost.)

I am interested in SCAD because, it is a very artistic school. Iv'e always wanted to go to a institution that revolves around creativity and vibrance and, this school does. I always wanted to go into a photographer and they offer it as a major. The price of attending SCAD isn't that high either. It offers great courses for great prices. The campus is also, a very colorful and friendly campus with lot's of friendly people to be friends with. The location of it is also, convenient because, I can visit family easily.

What stood out most to me was how welcoming and supportive the environment seems, especially for incoming freshmen like myself. It feels like a community where artists can grow, explore, and truly express themselves. The programs, the resources, and the overall vibe of the school left a huge impression on me, and I can honestly say I’m excited about the possibility of being part of it. I recently had the opportunity to attend a college presentation for SCAD at my school, and I was honestly blown away. It gave me such a clear picture of what SCAD is all about, and it really convinced me that this is where I want to be. As someone with a strong passion for art, finding a place that not only supports but encourages creativity and fresh ideas is incredibly important to me, and SCAD seems to do just that. SCAD feels like the perfect place to take my art to the next level, and I can't wait to experience it firsthand.

Ever since I first saw Toy Story flicker across the screen as a kid, I knew I wanted to create movie magic. That dream led me to Savannah College of Art and Design—it’s the place where I could turn that spark into a career. SCAD’s reputation for hands-on training in visual effects pulled me in like a magnet. The idea of learning from industry pros who’ve worked on films I admire, using cutting-edge tools like Nuke and Houdini, gets me fired up every day. It’s not just about theory here; it’s about doing the work—building portfolios that can land me at Disney or Pixar. What stands out most, though, is SCAD’s creative pulse. The campus buzzes with artists who live and breathe their craft, from animators to costume designers. I remember visiting and watching students collaborate on a short film in the Digital Media Center—everyone was all in, no half-measures. That energy matches how I roll; I thrive when I’m surrounded by people as obsessed with storytelling as I am. Plus, Savannah’s quirky charm—those mossy oaks and old brick buildings—feels like a living movie set, inspiring me to dream bigger. SCAD’s not just a school to me—it’s where my late-night sketches and wild ideas can grow into something real. It’s the launchpad for a future where I’m not just watching films, but making them.

I absolutely love the front view of this school. I took a tour and everything, the only thing about it is the cost. However, if you have the money, I would definitely recommend this school.

It’s an amazing place to pursue your art dreams! It has everything you could ever want.

Savannah College of Art and Design had been my dream school from a very young age. After visiting the campus I knew it was the school I wanted to go to, even going as far as to only apply to SCAD and nowhere else. Over the summer I participated in one of their summer seminars and the experience was incredible. I had access to amazing professors who always made sure you had everything you required, any questions I had were swiftly answered by one of the many camp counselors, and the on-campus amenities where better than I'd seen elsewhere (especially the dining hall which had everything you could possibly ask for). After applying to SCAD I was able to talk to my admissions counselor, who was there for all of my questions. They're super efficient and very informative when it comes to any issues you may have. After being accepted and applying for housing, my school counselor as well as the housing department were incredibly helpful. The entire process was one of the easiest applications I'd come across. I only needed to submit my transcripts and pay the application fee. From then on I was automatically awarded scholarship based on my academics, and then my resume and portfolio upon my submission of them. There is truly no experience like the one at SCAD, where the creative can be completely free from worry and become who they were meant to be.

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is dedicated to its students' education and safety. I feel comfortable around campus, although I tell someone where I am at night. It stimulates creativity and accountability as they prepare us for the workforce from day one. The workload can be all-consuming, so I appreciate that they provide therapy and other extracurriculars that alleviate the stress. Overall, I am finding my community at SCAD, and they intentionally empower students to lead.

SCAD is essential to my art. Not only did I learn a lot from the teachers but also from my friends and other students that helped me. SCAD is definitely a very supportive environment for my mural work, for my art work in general, and helps me grow as a person.  

As a sophomore illustration major transferring in the fall, I'm thrilled to be joining the SCAD community. SCAD stands out to me because of its reputation for fostering exceptional artistic talent. The opportunity to learn from industry veterans and renowned artists is incredibly inspiring. I'm particularly invested in the Illustration and Game Design program. Additionally, the vibrant atmosphere at SCAD, with its diverse student body and focus on artistic exploration is what I crave. Being surrounded by passionate artists will push me to new creative heights and give me a sense of belonging. My current experience as an illustration major has provided a strong foundation, but I am learning for a program that challenges and inspires me further. SCAD, with its exceptional faculty, and creative environment, perfectly aligns with my artistic vision and will propel me towards a successful illustration career.

In my opinion, SCAD is the best decision that I have ever made. It has provided me with opportunities to grow as an artist and creative. They provided plenty of workshops and activities for students to attend, all of which include career related individuals and skills. I absolutely love my SCAD family!

Big, artistic school! Compared to the other college campuses I've visited, you can definitely tell the difference between art students compared to intellectual students. They present themselves entirely differently with their never-ending personality and unique looks. I love it!
