Schoolcraft College is a great place to start after graduating high school. Besides, students those who plan to transfer to four year schools find this college as very affordable. Moreover, return students rate is increasing grsdually over the years. Schoolcraft College has great and cooperative professors who care a lot about their students and help them succeed in the class. Furthermore, our college tutoring center does an incredible job in bringing out the best in students and help them excel in academics. Overall, this campus is a wonderful place in terms of safety, education, sports, snd recreation.

I love it! The campus is a bit small but that's okay because I don't feel overwhelmed when finding my classes, though the campus is on the smaller side they have a lot of classes to pick and choose from. The professors are always there to help me threw my struggles and also the classmates there are a great help as well. The finical advisory is a great help too with helping me with FASFA.

All my life I pictured myself at a large university. Through my senior year of high school as my financial needs became more clear, I applied to Schoolcraft. I visited Schoolcraft and learned about all of the opportunities I would be given. I was given a list of all of the diverse clubs, activities and exciting events the campus holds through the semester. Now attending Schoolcraft I have fallen in love with the campus, the community feel and the constant support from staff and other students. I am so proud to be an Ocelot!

The campus is cozy and quaint. Beautiful people are everywhere you look. Intelligent people are everywhere you look. Students of a wide variety of generations attend, and many are passionate and driven. Smiles and conversations can be found everywhere.

Schoolcraft is a great place to begin your college experience and begin heading toward your future goals! I have recently completed a few online classes for the first time and they are very convenient. I would definitely recommend both online classes and on campus classes depending on what you are looking for. Professors are very honest and will inform you if you need to keep the textbooks or return them and save your money!

Schoolcraft College serves as an amazing environment for students to earn a 2-year degree at any age. Schoolcraft also offers a wide variety of transferable credit courses if you wish to further your education at a 4-year university. It is an extremely accommodating learning environment in the fact that there are online courses offered for most classes, hybrid classes, and open entry/ open exit style courses available for students who can't make it to campus often. The main campus is a little oasis in the middle of a fast-paced, urban area. Stepping onto the campus for the first time, I had no doubts that my safety would be at risk.

Schoolcraft is a Community College campus so it can be a plus to anyone who is financially in debt and needs to save money, and going back to school to further your education. There are student activities but personally, the people there are crap and most don't take activities seriously which is a minus. Schoolcraft is a great place to start to save your money, but don't plan on staying there.

Schoolcraft College is a great two-year college that allows the student to grow and expand on their academic journey all while being affordable.
The college offers a great atmosphere to those who even stay for just a semester.
They make sure that each student is comfortable and SANE on campus!

Great community college for students who want an education as equal to big-name universities, but for lower the price. The school is very active when it comes to keeping students up to date with what is happening on and off campus. Security is always driving around on campus and there are several "safety checkpoints" located outside on the sidewalks that you can go up to, press an emergency button, and call for help if you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe. All of the professors I've had in the past are wonderful and very understanding. There is nothing wrong with getting your degree at a community college!!

I feel as though there is potential within the school, but they should expand and review the professors they currently have. I would also like to have more organizations or stability within the organizations I should say. Classes are a good size, you get to be engaged very well, sometimes you have to spend money on unnecessary books for the class and you never use them. There needs to be more office hours available as well.

I think that Schoolcraft College is a great school. The classes are small and the teachers really do care about how the students perform in classes. Schoolcraft College is an excellent college for students just coming out of high school and are still unsure of what major they would like to pursue.

Schoolcraft is a great transfer school. They offer fully transferable credit classes and the staff ensure that your time here is not wasted. Schoolcraft is a great school for students who wish to transfer over to a four year universutiy, their classes are small and create a more individualized experience. The beautiful campus radiates a homey feel and the students are friendly. Schoolcraft offers tons of amazing programs such as a welding program, a fitness club, a physics club ect.. Overall schoolcraft offers exactly what I am looking for a freshman college student, two thumbs up.

It's a good quality school to get your pre-recs and associates degree out of the way. Everyone is super nice and supportive. I have enjoyed my first two semesters at Schoolcraft college and will continue to take classes there till I succeed. They have free tutoring available all year round and staff that will help you on your way to succeed.

It’s a great community college with terrific professors and facilities. I was nervous at first to attend a community college before attending a university, but I’m very grateful that I chose Schoolcraft, because they staff and students have made me feel at home.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Schoolcraft College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Not to be so stressed out about taking AP classes and always wondering if I was doing enough to get into a college. It all works out in the end. Besides even when you take everything you need to some University's still won't let you in. So work hard to well but enjoy just being in High School.
Equals, everyone that attends my college is there for the same reason I am, and that is to work hard in order to accomplish something from a 2-year community college to get the chance of something bigger at a university.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
The kind of person who should not attend this school would have to be someone who does not like a very diverse community. There are people of ao many different races who attend. Also, people who want to live on a college campus and experience that "away at college" feeling and atmosphere. Schoolcraft College does not have dormitories or other types of things that four-year universities have. For example, football stadium, fitness center, hockey arena, etc. There are only a few sports they provide to become a part of too.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I consider the worst thing to be some of the teachers. I think some of the teachers are only ok at what they do. Some teachers are very young and they teach in a style that goes over our heads. On the other end, some teachers are old and they lose track of what they are talking about. Obviously, this is a generalization, some old teachers are really good at what thye do.
The smaller classroom sizes definately influenced my decisions to attent Schoolcraft, it gives more attention to each student one-on-one, and that is what drew me to the school. While one-on-one attention was what brought me in the dedicated staff is what kept me in. There is not one teacher i was unhappy about, they were all so well put together and prepared which made it easier and better for me to put my all into every class. :)
A student that wishes to continue on to a University but needs to save $ in order to do so. It is also a good school for students that need to work and attend part-time or students that want a 2 year degree, but later will enter another field.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
The community college atmosphere offers a unique perspective on learning through many different points of view. The students range from the age of 18 to 55, every race and religion. This allows for contrasting opinions that you wouldn't normally encounter at a major university. I learned more about the world, myself, and others through my experiences there than I did all throughout high school. I discovered new information through the curriculums, professors, and other students which helped shape my view on life and existence in general.
Outside of the alumni group for the school, there isn't one. Most likely, this is due to the fact that Schoolcraft is located in the middle of a cluster of strip malls and businesses rather than around residential lots where fraternities and sororities would be housed in typical "Greek scenes."
Spend $5-$10 on cafeteria food at Henry's or spend more than that at the culinary department in their "fancy" restaurant, American Harvest. If you've got the money, Henry's is a good option for lunch.
Where is the best place to get work done on campus?
The best place to get work done on campus would be anywhere you could find peace and quiet. The library has limited seating and is usually packed, unless you manage to get there pretty early. I would advise avoiding the VistaTech Center and Lower Waterman Level where most people go to socialize and up making a lot of distracting noises.
I decided to go to Schoolcraft because it was a community college that was close to my house that I could afford while I still figured out what it was that I was going to major in / turn a career into.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
The professors at my school are wonderful! They not only care about teaching me the material, but they do all that they can to make sure I understand. They are always open for appointments and for special help.
