Sheridan College is a community college in Sheridan, Wyoming, so the class sizes are notably smaller. Despite this, there are still so many activities to participate in including rodeo, club sports leagues, and a variety of clubs on campus. The best part about the school, in my opinion, is the teachers. They are so passionate about the student’s learning and they are always willing to help. This is a great campus to attend!

I love this place and will be sad to leave it. It has been the best year of my life at Sheridan College. My Best college experience period. I have been to quite a few schools in my life. Gordon State (former 2 year now 4 year), Georgia State University, and now Sheridan. Despite the good that came from those other schools, nothing has matched to the feeling of care I have here.

Sheridan College is great from what i have experienced. All around i would recommend it to those who are interested or looking at it, definitely a college i would go to. Great academic system and good supervisors/Professors. Campus life is fair, could work on some of the bathrooms and rooms in my opinion but all around it is great.

Sheridan college is a group of disingenuous people who teach more disingenuous people. Sheridan invokes a sense of rot and selfishness that truly is at the heart of everything wrong in this country. Also the food sucks.

I had a different opinion on this college before joining it, now after two years, I had to completely change my mind. They say they make us ready for a competitive market, but the sad reality is they have transformed Education into a business. Never trust the ads, almost all of it is fake. Only one thing I like about the college is the students.
Morghan - 07/16/2019
I loved the experience and people that came from all over. I loved that there was always something to do. Almost all the professors are willing to help and mostly always available.

I love this school, to be honest I was a little nervous before going to attend. It's dead center in a mining town, but they keep the school clean. The professors and advisers are amazing. They understand when things take a sharp turn left and help make sure they steer back in the right direction. The students are all engaged in what's going on and the environment is friendly and supportive. The classes are enjoyable and there's a wide range of times so you can work around practically anything going on in your life.

Sheridan College is a wonderful two year college, for those students who receive the Hathaway Scholarship Sheridan College is free. It is extremely affordable and a great way to begin a person's college career. Most credits transfer to other colleges and universities which makes this college a great start.

It seems to be a great college my teachers are easy to talk with and communicate, it’s a great learning experience, all the hands on, staff is great always helpful. I would recommend Sheridan College to anyone that wanted to go.
Lana - 08/06/2018
In terms of academics, its great. I received a wonderful education from well-rounded professors that were incredibly accessible, flexible, and available to help and give recommendations. I definitely benefited from small classrooms, 20:1 (average). We also had a lot of lab courses that provided hands-on experience. I truly love it and would recommend.

I absolutely loved going to school in Sheridan. The instructors were easy to talk to and wanted students to succeed. The campus life and housing staff were very involved in student life and made sure that students felt at home while they were at school. There was always something to do on campus as they tried to give us activities to do that didn't cost the students more money.
Carolyn - 11/24/2017
Its a decent school. The campus is beautiful. The food is great, for the most part, and if you don't want one thing, there are other options. The teaching is decent for most of the teachers. There are many options to get help. There is math tutors, a writing center for essay help, and a tech center to help with the repair of computers.

Originally I was going to skip this comunity college and go straight to the states university. However upon my father insistence I went and signed up for classes. I decided I didn't like the major I originally signed up for and so next semester I will start. One thing though is it wasn't the college that got me to decide to switch, it was my internship, the professor was very good as well as the facilities.

Sheridan College is a good step towards college life. The housing is nice and the faculty is wonderful. The classes need to be changed slightly so art students have more of an opportunity to take different classes or subjects that they may also be interested in other than art. The food is good, breakfast and lunch is all they serve though. Students will have to provide their own dinner elsewhere. The college should try getting more professional artists to come and do workshops and talks. This helps students to build better relations outside of the college and help them to grow into better artists. There should also be more than just photoshop for digital arts. There also needs to be better emphasis on understanding fine arts and the commercial arts. The college professors tend to disregard the commercial arts and not explain why they do so.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Sheridan College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
College is what you make of it. If you are excited to attend college, you will make friends and do great. If you cant let go of the past and you are worried about whats going on back home you will never be able to leave and start a new chapter in your life. you have to let go and go with an open mind
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
I wish I had known that college doesn't have to be scary and I don't have to be afraid of failing. I wasted a couple years being afraid that I wouldn't be able to do the work, but now I feel confident that I can get through the classes and be a great nurse.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about attending Sheridan College is the constant attention you recieve from faculty and administrators about how you are doing, what they need to do to help you get where you are going! The staff here at Sheridan College, have done nothing but want students to succeed, and are willing to put forth any effort necessary to help you in any way shape or form! In Fact, while taking this survey, A professor just called me informing me that she had found $250 in scholarship money to give me for the upcoming semester!
My school is most known for its very talented basketball teams and its much above average student housing. From the entertaining sports, to the comfortable living, both are very high perks of attending Sheridan College.
My classmates at Sheridan College are a very broad range of students, and because it is such a small campus, many are great friends that I will stay in touch with in the distant future.
